St Anton reviews (1-2 of 2)

We had a great time, the hotel was really good, food excellent, location right where you want it. The people there were very friendly and helpful. The owner has a passion for old cars and offers a very good value excursion on a Tuesday in one of them.

A good resort for walks and cable cars with another resort - Lech a simple bus journey away with similar things.
The Crystal rep was excellent but I think this girl has now left the company so have no idea on her replacement.
We were a bit unsure about Austria in the summer. What would the weather be like? Would everything be closed? etc etc. All we can say is if anyone else is in 2 minds about going in the summer just do it!

Its is the most magical beautiful place you can imagine. It is Scotland, The lake District, The peak District, Wales all rolled up into one. St Anton is in the Tyrol and the area is mountainous with the village in the valley giving magnificent views. The village is at 5500ft above sea level and the highest peak is about 7500ft so you you imagine the views. The hotel itself was faultless. We stayed half board. The 5 course evening meal was fantastic every night. For luch you could have the free soup and salad or a free lunch pack to take out with you. There was cake and coffee at 4:00 if you had room.
The leasure facilities were 5 star. Small but adequete pool, 4 different steam and saunas, a great warm bed relaxing area and some really ";cool"; shower facilities.
If I was really pushed to pick fault it had to be the noise of traffic early in the morning. Although the hotel is on a pedestrain street, delivery vehicles are allowed in.
We would class this as one of the best value for money holidays we have ever had and I must say a ";Well Done"; to Inghams. They made everything go like clock work.
As for the weather. We had 6 days of 80+ temperatures and one days rain.
One final comment. The Austrian people are so friendly, helpful and welcoming you have to see it to beleive and the whole country tis so clean. You can tell they are really proud of their country and their environment. Bit like the UK!!!!Not!
