"Musical city"
Overall Resort Rating:
Vienna is a historical town for everyone who likes music, museum and beautiful architecture. Don’t forget to visit the Freud Museum, the place where the psychologist lived before he moved to London. If anyone asked you to see a concert, ignore them. I fell into the trap and was very disappointed.

"Amazing"
Overall Resort Rating:
By the resort I mean the city of Vienna, which is absolutely beautiful. Lots to do, you need at least 3 full days there. Of course it is pretty expensive, but that is to be expected.

Beautiful city, fantastic architecture and very tasteful Christmas decorations in the streets! Lots of art galleries, we never got bored and it is possibly the best city break we have had in a long time.

Vienna is a beautiful city, with lots of great architecture and museums, parks, good transportation with the tube network and plenty of bars. We went in mid-September, when snow was starting to fall which made it even prettier.

Vienna is a great city. Seemed to be a good time to go as there was a huge Christmas market near the main cathedral. We really enjoyed the museums, especially the Summer palace.

Lovely city for a short break, we actually ran out of time. Some of the cafes are fantastic. You must go to the Hotel Sacher for cake, despite the price!

Naschmarkt is best known for its flea market, but note that particularly in spring and summer this place is also one of the top spots for locals to chill outside having a cold one and/or a meal with friends in one of the bars and eateries. The good thing about Naschmarkt is that it attracts all sorts of people -- you can watch weirdos, bankers, politicians, artists, celebrities, beauty and beast, all in one place.

"Beautiful Vienna -magic by day and night"
Overall Resort Rating:
Vienna, wonderful beautiful but extremely expensive! Take lots of cash with you but be warned; lots of places don't accept Visa! Wierd, but true. Museums and galleries cost 10 euros each to visit.

Vienna is criminally underrated as a citybreak destination. There is so much to do there, and the coffee and cakes are to die for. There are grand old buildings on every corner, and a host of art galleries both old and modern. There seemed to be a lot of nightlife although you never hear of young people going there for stag breaks in the way people visit Prague or Budapest.

"Up and coming"

This place is really up and coming. I went about 5 years ago and thought it was a bit grotty, but there's been a lot of rejuvination - new buildings, better old buildings. It's a really nice city to stroll around at night, and lots of lovely places to go and see. And top quality chocolates and sweets everywhere too! Hoorah!

Overall Resort Rating:
Vienna is picturesque with lots of old buildings. It can be quite pricey to do some of the touristy stuff and you can probably do it all within a few days. Worth seeing though!

"Plenty to see,excellent public transport"
Overall Resort Rating:
A clean city with lots to see, and easy to get around. There are no beaches (hence the 'poor' rating) - Austria is a landlocked country afterall! It's a fairly expensive city and this isn't helped by the current weakness of the Pound. You can however quite comfortably get a good meal and drink for €20. As for things to see and do, Vienna is rich in unique architecture, especially in the centre. The Danube river also offers great views and nice river-side walks.
