Brussels is an interesting City but needs no more than one and half days to cover. Great place to find wonderful food I would recomend La Roue D'or, just off the grand place.

sadly we found Brussels to be a dirty City and also a large number of people begging on the streets.
The Bedford Hotel,135 Rue du Midi was well located and a good price and a good breakfast buffet,
BUT, yes a very big BUT. We had a no smoking room and it was apparent that the rules were not enforced. When I spoke with reception they said, and I quote.
";When we are full we give the no smoking rooms to smokers, we can not tell them to not smoke!!!!";
my reply was ";yes you can";
So if you do not smoke do not stay at the Bedford and perhaps ask any hotel you are going to stay in if they are real no smoking rooms
