My father and I stayed here when we visited Brussels. Leuven (the home of Stella Artois!) is a beautiful place. The hotel was amazing. Marble floors throughout. Rooms had two double beds rather than two singles, ironing board, ice machines, electric shoe shine stations, TV..... it was amazing. And the buffet breakfast was beautiful. Everything you could think of......
Should you take a trip here you MUST go to the Thai restaurant right next to the hotel. It's a big glass circular building opposite the hotel entrance. The meal we had here is the best meal we have EVER had and we're contemplating going back to Leuven just to eat in that restaurant again!!
The Domas brewery is also worth a visit. You get to sample three half pints of beer for free and then the pints are only a pound or so each and they are lovely. You can drink hundreds of it, and you don't get a bad head in the morning as they don't add the preservatives/chemicals to give you one. The food was also beautiful and reasonably priced.
