Beach - dirty, broken glass and rubbish on sand dunes, but sea warm. Food and drink - expensive and poor quality (in shops and in restaurants) they charge what they like even when there's a price printed on the packaging! Eating out - They round the bill up and give you less change so they get a tip - so try to give correct change. If you want cheap beer - this is the place to go, 1 pint 45p however you can't get drunk on it as it's too gasy and all other drinks are as expensive as home (Hull), it is only to get you through the door and they don't like it if you only go for beer and nothing else. If you like football this is also the place to go as it is shown on large tvs almost everywhere, but it isn't intrusive. Food is like war time school dinners!!! Nightlife - None existing in September!! only a hand full or our type of bar open (dance music & cocktails) ended up going to Viking bar every night, no night clubs open. Things to see & do - All the sporty stuff is on offer, still not cheap though. Probably too many market stalls - all selling the same knock off gear as the last one and still not very cheap. Always haggle for a taxi - they come down by at least half!!! Not a place for blind people, there are massive holes in the pavements as if a bomb had hit, you could do yourself an injury, we always walked on the road when we could. If you think you could go and not be in touch with any locals then you'll be wrong, they will come to you weather it be to sell, beg or steel something. Nessebar is nice but also has plenty of stalls selling knock off gear - a one day outing to there and you'll have seen it all. Overall, i would not go again - it isn't anything special - only thing was the weather was great and the sea was warm!!

wouldnt go again every where you go you get pestererd by people even when your sat down eating they allow people to come to your table to tryand sell you something.

Sunny Beach as a Resort is very commercialised and if you decide to stay at the north end of the resort you won't be able to tell if your in Bulgaria or Tenerife!! The Hotel Nessebar Beach is one of the last hotels at the Southern end of the resort and therefore is a lot quieter but the busier part is only a few minutes walk away if you fancy a bit more of an English night out!

Bulgaria is an up and coming resort, so for me they still need to know how to deal with tourists, the high point for me beach is very clean and clear. the down side of bulgaria is the staff and food, the staff are rude and abrasive so it takes some getting used to and the food was very poor quality, it was either under cooked or greasy! we found one nice bar call brothers but apart from that it's maccy D's all the way. It's a perfect holiday if you are a groupe of lads or ladies looking for a cheap get away, ( on average it was 50p a pint) but if you are a couple or family then i would give it a few years and wait for it to develop.

Plenty of sun beds around the pool which was nice - we didn’t spend too much time on the beach, but you had to pay for the sun beds there.I'd advise against the Yacht excursion - you get taken to a remote beach which is nice, but the area where they cook the food for you is surrounded by flies and was disgusting - £35 each down the drain.

Was quiter in late September. Beach nice but sea too deep and rough for children.Shops are actually more like market stalls selling jeans and t shirts only. Supermarkets are small shops with very poor choices. Weater hot days cooler nights, just right. Beer cheap but everything else expensive.Area very poor and dirty.Felt unsafe outside, police biased with locals even when they break the law.Beach is 10-15 mins walk .Nearby Nessebar is nice for a day out, just 20 mins by bus , fare only 50p, worth a visit. Don't go to City of Varna, nothing there. 4 buses go out in the morning and only 2 come back late afternoon.The Bulgarians have not quite got the welcoming attitude to Tourists right, maybe in another 20 years or so they will have.

Would have liked to see more but it was towards end of season, our own fault really. There was still alot to do. We enjoyed riding around on the golf buggies to see more of sunny beach. We like to go in main season to see more. would go again.

Absolutely loved the resort but not the hotel. The beach was lovely and would recommend sunny beach

An excellent resort for a relaxing holiday, the beach was only a couple of hundred meters from the hotel and very clean, and there was always things to do in the resort. Unfortunately for us the end of the season was upon us and things were closing down at a rapid rate over the week we were there. I would go back to sunny Beach but choose a earlier date the season to take full advantage of the many delights on offer

The beaches here were lovely and clean and there were life guard every few metres on the beach so it was also safe. There were also watersports on the beach towards the centre of Albena.

Food and Drink were very cheap (Apart from milkshakes which worked out to about 3 pound) you could buy 2 pizzas 2 drinks and 2 fries for about £17. Although, There wern't many restaurants to choose from.. And only a few did decent food.

I don't recall seeing any nightlife apart from the fair which was shut.. But this may have been the time of year.

Sunny Beachand Bulgaria in general needs to catch up with the rest of Europe in catering for tourists. No one is going to put up with less than average standards for a costly holiday they have saved all year for. We had 10 days in a BASIC hotel (we have better Travel lodges in England) and could have gone all-in in the Canaries for the same money We expected better service The streets are dirty and the pavements are falling apart. The beach was dirty, paper cigarette ends and rubbish. In Callella ta machine cleans the beach every night.

Sunny Beach was alright, it was slightly tacky though in places and a bit commercial. It is one of those places that you go to and don't have a bad time, but wouldn't go back. You can get all the food you could want though, and it isn't as hot as some places we have visited which suits us.

Found the resort of Elenite and location to be ok and you can always catch a bus or get a taxi into nearby much more busier and hustly Sunny beach

Nesseber Village This little place is wonderful, old, traditional, full of life... We managed to spend there 2 days of our trip and it really saved our impression after coming to Sunny Beach

You should try to eat in restaurants in old Nessebar, they have fine foods and great sea view. Just too bad the beaches in old Nessebar are not prepared for tourists.

Don't park the car in the parking on right before entering the narrow street towards the windmill, they ask 3 levs per hour, not offering a good price for the entire day. You can find a huge parking turning left quite before the old "gate" of this old town, we payed there 8 levs for 8 hours !

Sunny Beach has loads of good bars, really cheap drinks! My girlfriend loved the cocktails, I was able to have some interesting beer! They show the footie too which is a real bonus.
