A brash commercialised resort where you have to pay mega bucks for sunbeds on the beach. Pub crawls and discos good if you are into that type of thing.

very cheap place, lovely beach, but keep your wits about u as they try and rip u off, and also the paths, are broke and rocky, so if your not very steady on your feet dont go, and the food can be abit yuk but im fussy

Sunny Beach is very good for young and old alike, though we were in our fifties and had no children with us it appeared to be a happy place to be when watching younger couples with their families in the resort and on the beach having fun. There appeared to be a very relaxed police force with only very minimal amount of police action evident. Resort contains loads of places to buy anything you would want without being pressured by shop staff who were all very polite even when you did,nt buy from them , most said have a nice day when we left their shops. We recommend people visit Nessabar as this was the highlight of our visit , something about the place makes you want to be there, beutifull people , places to eat and drink.

I was really surprised with how good Sunny Beach was, my boyfriend and I booked this holiday as a last minute deal, and basically chose Sunny Beach because of it not being the euro and the fantastic exchange rate. We didnt really know what to expect when we arrived there but it turned out to be brilliant. The resort has an amazing beach with plenty of sun loungers and umbrellas available - which costs 21 lev for a day for 2 chairs and an umbrella. The nightlife is brilliant, and you are spoilt for choice with bars and restaurants to eat in!

Sunny beach is amazing, this place will take over from greece and spain in years to come, only after the people of bulgaria improve their english because they dont speek hardly any now. not even the basic. But as for the future when the locals have improved there englsish this is the place for the future.

exellent wat more can i say go see it ur self sea clear as crystal beach it awsome hot as ya like... after reading this just go n book it food is good they love the pizza's and dont get hooked in by cherry dudes ul wanna beat them after......... go to the tourist dude across from the house pub he will sort ya out on the trips n he wont rip ya off... go both waterparks nessebar and sunny beach 1 free bus and the bus stop right near hotel. go to dolphin show worth it 4 all day cheap

Very good for choice of bars and retaurants but can be annoying as you walk past as they all want you to use theres. Only use Crown to change money or the bank. Do not accept a cherry from the guys that offer you one as once you do they will want you to buy and they are not cheap from them.

sunny beach itself was ok, although it made me feel overwhelmed, people in your face constantly...come into my bar, resaurant ect, people shoving cherries in your face, it should'nt be aloud, we walked down the middle of the road to avoid these ppl, but thye just came after you. we are planning on going back next yr, although to a different hotel, but next yr i hope will be better because it wont be such a shock and we will know wot to expect. i would'nt tell people not to go to sunny beach, you make your own mind up, its not a pretty place with palm trees and exotic plants, in fact thye have exactly the same plants, trees and even weeds as we do. oh yea and seagulls(enough said), try it you mite like it, im going to give it a second chance!

Resort was a bit too full on !! Although the nightlife was good if in party mood it was a bit in your face a bit some bars were very loud , the bars n restuarants were cheap but annoyed you by trying yo get you to go in !! However we only found 2 decent places to eat Jacks Bar and the itallian on the beach front !! Beer was 40 to 50p a pint but bloated you , everywhere was happy hour so loads of 2 for 1s !!! An experience to go there but dont think i will be rushing back and i think it will get more n more popular every yr ! Do not expect a peacefull holiday !!

its my second visit to sunny beach(the last 7 years ago then i said never again).this time iam saying again for certain never again.i go on holiday not to be hassled every time you go out of the hotel with people pushing cherryies in your face to buy and the food is not cheap,although you can get a beer for 1lev(about 50p).

Cost of a beach sunbed and parasol is a bit pricey. 21 lev(£10) every time you want to go to the beach is a bit too much. The only thing that bothered me, was the fruit sellers on the streets. Trying to put a piece of fruit in my mouth every time I walked past got a bit irritating after a few days. Just smile and say no, they eventually get the message.

The travel agent said this was a good holiday for families it was more of a 18-30 resort with lots of nightclubs, sex shops etc. The beach was lovely but I thought it was awful that the whole front of the beach was pay only you had to hire a sunbed or parasol at a cost of 7 Levs each per day. If you wanted to lie on a towel you had a thin strip at the back of the beach which was free but meant you couldn't keep your eye on your belongings while in the water.

resort is the best weve been too plenty to do and plenty to see especially nessebar its lovely only 1 lev on local bus (about50p) only thing is its pretty noisy at night i took earplugs so no probs!

Sunny Beach has everything to offer you for your holiday. Plenty of bars, clubs, shops, stalls, eating places, street vendors, sex shops, you name it Sunny Beach will have it.

Plenty to do for all age groups, young or old, for couples, families or groups of friends. There is something there for every one.

You can look through shops or stalls and no one bothers you, you get the sellers asking where you are from and what you are looking for but they generally leave you alone to have a look. The price is on most things and they tend not to haggle or barter. If you ask a price they tell you and thats it, they wont budge.

There are plenty of shops, stalls selling fake clothes, designer hand bags, jewellery, you name it and you could buy it there.

There is plenty of security staff at bars and night clubs and the police are always out on patrol walking amoung the tourists.

Be aware of Romanian Gypsie pick pockets, and child beggars. The children often go about with a small puppy or kitten and hold out plastic cups for money. I also saw them going up to people at night and harrassing them form money. The children work with their families and other groups and would rob you blind, so dont be fooled by them. There families are also watching the children from a distance. The children are aged from about 6 years upwards to teenagers. They are often bare footed and slightly grubby, the older ones are better dressed to blend in, but the give away is their dark mahogany skin. The older women have bleach blonde yellow hair, better dressed to blend in and have moblie phones. Also beware of fake charity workers who hand you a post card and then show you a book that they are charity workers, they want money off you and work all day along the main strip stopping anyone they can. Just say No firmly to them and wave them on.

Apart from that Sunny Beach has a nice atmosphere, nice bars, good eating places and as always watch where you are eating and check the prices before you go in.

Weather was great in June, every day was sunny and hot, and cool at night. You need a light jacket or shawl to wear in the evenings as it does cool down alot. It can also be quite breezy at night.

All the toilets are very clean in the bars and in toilet WC areas. There is a 50 lv charge, which is approx 25p. For this you get a clean toilet that has the floors mopped on every visit and a spray of air freshener, toilet paper and something to dry your hands with after you have washed them. There is always a toilet attendant, normally an older local woman.

If you want a hotter version of Blackpool then this is the place for you. If not you are likely to be dissapointed so go somewhere else - it is a purpose built holiday resort, it's going to be commercial...

Fantastic clubs/bars (Den Glade Viking), great places to eat (Mamacita's/Chilli Peppers), nice beach.

General rule - the nearer the beach you are the worse the food is, 'Fiesta' being a spectacular example of serving slop, attempting to charge more than stated on the menu, not being able to speak English if you complain, then rediscovering their mastery of the language when you don't leave a tip....seriously, stick to the restaurants and bars off the beach.
