Great for those that want the nightlife as the bars are open late and the drinks plentiful! The resort was a lot more 'British' than I expected. The prices are ok but you do get hassled all the time to go in the bars.
The skiing is ok if you're an intermediate. Snowboarding isn't great for beginners as the pistes are narrow and the lifts are nearly all buttons. I did both and would stay stick to skis!
I probably wouldn't return to this resort.

We were impressed with Sunny Beach and would go back. It is just like any other Med resort really, all the kind of restaurants and bars you expect but it is a fair bit cheaper than Greece/Cyprus. Waterpark was great fun, one of the better ones we have visited.

Sunny Beach review
"Out and about in Sunny Beach"
resort to a friend
Sunny Beach has something to offer everyone and is open 24 hours a day. Although very enjoyable it is nice to jump on the bus and go into Nessebar to appreciate a little bit of peace and culture.

The sunny beach area was a mixture of class and trash making it a bit difficult to find a suitable place to shop or eat. One minute you are in a shopping complex with classy boutiques and the next you are walking between market stalls selling bargain basement goods.

Sunny Beach is a lively resort with a nice beach. The nightlife is aimed at the younger end of the market but there are plenty of nice bars away from the main strip which will suit most people.

Cheap food and drink too many groups of young people. Not enough to do. Beach is nice apart from lots of seaweed near the shore.

Albena is actually quite lively. Loads of good bars and a few clubs too, which we did go to. It maybe isn’t as cheap as we thought it would but still good value compared to the UK.

Very very busy and there were jelly fish close to the beach at times. Could be quite a long way to fetch a drink during the day.

Sunny Beach review
"Sunny Beach - Bulgarian spain?!"
resort to a friend
Sunny Beach is a resort i didn't find particularly different to your average spanish holiday resort. The usual people giving out fliers for bars, knock off shops, bars, restaurants selling pizza. Lots of nightlife, lots of bars to choose from. Avoid the bikes with the man who pedals you along - they are a rip off and will try to tell you that you have been more distance than you actually have. Lots of takeaways selling kebabs, wraps and pizza. Unfortunately i didn't get to try the kebabs even though i really wanted to! The beach is lovely, lots of activities, but the sunbeds are a bit expensive and the man sees you straight away so no freebies!! We really liked the Luxury Beach bar, nice bar staff not creepy at all and fantastic selection of cocktails at reasonable prices, not the cheapest but worth it. Lots of club nights including Twice as Nice, Hed Kandi, Cream, so ideal if you like clubbing. Nessebar is nice for a day trip, and there are two waterparks to choose from that are easy to get to. Overall, great holiday, everything you need is here. Avoid if you are looking for a "cultural" experience, you won't really find it in Sunny Beach.

We went to Sunny Beach ages ago (late 90s), seems to have developed quite a bit since then, plenty of new bars, restaurants, shops and clubs. It is much busier now, though we don’t mind. Nice beach, and it is still reasonably cheap.

Elenite review
"All inclusive, not very exclusive"
resort to a friend
If you want a nice all inclusive village, go to DUNI. The resort cannot cope with the amount of tourists present in August. Massive shortage of sunbeds and things to do.
