well where do we start went september 2008 for a last min break. look at the rewiews and all seem to be out of date. when you get to th hotel make sure you have change for the porter does not move till tipped. place in a villa on the hotel complex ok abit of a walk late at when had a few drinks but ok. food repeated every 3 nights or so got a bit of a joke trying to guess whats to eat with me and the wife:meat ball/chips/or pork??????????? still ok ..

drinks in the bars brill all internationl drinks jd and coke happy nites ha ha all the cocktails free too.tip the bar man and see how much you get next time?? hotel clean and tidy cleaners in our rooms every day . weather very cold and raining what a surprise in september had to buy jumpers. the resort it self is a bit quiet no shows or bars all but 2/3. afew shops down by the beach theres a train that take you there for a few levs about a £1. this resorted is gated with all the hotel all inculsive a supermarket buy the campsite cheaper than the little shops . hotel classed as 3/4 star class more like 2 star. would i go back not a chance . but all said only payed £800 for 2 so what do you what a 5 star.

Avoid this hotel. We returned home last night and still have the runs and griping pains. Most people we spoke to had the same problem. The food was appalling. The cold food was not kept cold and the hot food...nothing was hot except the soup. Meat was uncooked but we discovered a microwave in the restaurant which we started using.

The staff on the whole were unfriendly and unhelpful. Some were down right arrogant, especially when they realised you were English. Only a few speak English.

No entertainment. Even the satellite TV was all German. I still have poxy German holiday tunes ringing through my head which the German entertainers were singing on the hour. Einz Vie Dry. Not enough seating in the bar area.

Despite it being written that it's a quiet resort...it was not. Noisy crowds all night every night. We had to buy ear plugs from the chemists. Don't forget to pack some.

The pool area was unsafe with crumbling concrete, missing tiles and loose rail fittings. My child got a few small cuts on her feet from the grit at the bottom of the pool. Packed with sun loungers and still not enough. Some days we went across the road to use the Ralitza pool which was much bigger, less crowded and the entertainers spoke English.

A couple of families we spoke to were robbed; from their room or around the pool. Bulgarian people work hard and get paid very small wages...approx £3 - £10 per day. Make sure you use the security box.

Be cautious about haggling. I tried to get the price down for goods which were slightly damaged and the seller almost shouted me out of the shop reminding me of Bulgarian rates of pay.

Albena resort was ok. Albena tends to be 3 times as expensive as anywhere else. Visit Nessebar if you can. Peter's House is good for food and the Banana Bar is very friendly. A good meal is about £3 - £10.

The sea is not shallow for any distance so gets very crowded. The beach is nice but couldn't find any showers. Beds and parasol about £2 each. The water park in the next resort was fun, but also crumbling and difficult to walk around because of slippery tiled floors. Extra charge for bed and parasol inside.

Take a horse and carriage ride but beware of the drivers trying to get you to pay more than you agreed. It's about £7 - £10. Taxis are well priced with return deals. Return to Varna was about £20.

I will not be going back and was not impressed or 'wowed' by any of it. You should have heard the cheers when the coach arrived to collect us. 2 weeks was painfully too long and we were bored to bits for the last 5 days or so...with sore bottoms too!

Just got back from Bulgaria hotel Vita Park.
Fist the good points,,
Hotel rooms were very clean and where cleaned every day.
The cleaners where very nice even though they spoke very little english.
The restaurant was very large and clean and the food was very nice.
There was a good selection of hot and cold foods and salad and fresh fruit.
The pool area and loungers where cleaned each day and there were lots of loungers .
The pool bar has a large selection of hot and cold drinks .
There is also a snack bar that has drinks and supplies snacks ie chips, pitzza, and salads all day this also has a large seating area.

AND NOW FOR THE BAD POINTS ,,
on arival at the hotel their was one person behind the reception desk to deal with about 50 hoiliday makers. When you arrive 5-30 am you just whant to go to your room for a sleep.
And when you get your keys two bell boys snatch your bags out of your hand rush you to your rooms and stand there untill you give them a tip.
Dont expect to sleep after 10.00 am we where rudley awoken by loud music from the pool bar.
After geting up at about 10.01 am tried to get a sun lounger in the pool erea but all the germans had there
towels already on them.
We had two children with us and we where told there was plenty of things for them to do . Well there is if your kids can speak german. This hotel is verey german based.

Then comes the night time
Absolutley nothing to do for the kids apart from two computers witch you had to pay for or a pool table which you also had to pay for .
You can go over the road to the sister hotel where they have some entertaiment
on a night time wich is not verey good .
Because there is nothing to do on a night time every body sits in the reception bar area where their are not enough seats so lots of people had to sit on the stairs.
The local bear that they serve you in the hotel very poor as are the local spirits.
Most of the tim they had no glasses behind the bar so they served you beer in half pint plastic cups whitch made the beer taste even worse.
The bar stopes serving your free alcohol at 11.00 o clock on the dot you can pay for your drinks after that but they charge us diffrent prices every time we went to the bar.
The male toilets next to the reception where realy smelly its a shame because the rest of the hotel is very clean.

Overall the hotel Vita Park is verey nice but if you have booked your holiday here i suggest you take a crash course in german if you can't already speak it .
I would not recommend this hotel to people with children as there is nothing apart from the swimmig pool, computers, pool table.
WE WILL NOT BE RETURNING TO THE HOTEL VITA PARK

Having read some negative comments about this hotel, we found that yes the hotel had its fair share of ignorant Germans however why should you let others spoil your holiday, play them at their own game.

We had a fab time in and around the hotel food fine, don't expect package holiday food from Spain as that is catering solely for the English this hotel had a cross section of nationalities thus food has to be geared to please all.

The resort of Albena is not for those who want a hustle and bustle resort, it for those who want to completely chill out and jump of the rat race treadmill for a few days.

Just arrived home from 2 weeks in Bulgaria. Weather was absolutely terrible it rained for 11 days out of 14!Hotel was all inclusive but drinks were very limited and bar shut dead on 11pm. Food wasn't up to much but there was always something that you could eat.The food was also not very hot but a microwave was provided. The hotel itself was spotless cleaners were great they were the most decent staff there.

Entertainment was horrendous all geared up for Germans and nothing for the children to do.Only about 50 seats in the hotel lounge for about 600 guests absolutely terrible when it is raining and there is nowhere to sit.Pool and sunloungers(plenty) were cleaned every day could not fault the cleanliness.
Beach was immaculate although we only got there 1 day because of the rain!Resort itself was ok the main street was full of little stalls selling bulgarian ceramics etc. Prostitutes were rife!It was actually quite entertaining. Very cheap place to visit.
For the money we paid it was ok but we wont be back in a hurry although the weather was the worst.

Pleasantly surprised after reading some negative reviews, the hotel was spotless, very comfortable and food was very good if just a little repetetive, hotel geared mainly though for germans and entertainment at night was a bit of a shortcoming in the hotel. The weather was superb probably a little too hot, rained twice and when it rained it RAINED.

The resort is small with maket stalls out numbering shops and is totally tourist orientated, fake watches, perfume and clothing in abundance. Artists are also highlighted so if you want a favourite painting of a loved one take a photo with you. Bulgaria is very poor and therefore eating out is cheap, but do go further afield away from Albena and Golden Sands and it becomes even cheaper. Taxis are cheap we paid 45 leva (£15) from airport after being Quoted 90 leva first.Taxis within albena only £2 wherever you go.We went to Dobrich for the day and found that extremely cheap.

Albena is not for 18-30s so is ideal for families with young kids or older couples not wanting yobbish behaviour.
will definately be returning, highly recommended, just remember it is Bulgaria and not the maldives

just arrived back 24,9,2006 from a 2 week stay at vita park, the accomadation was absolutly brilliant it was spotlessly clean we were given a apartments instead of hotel rooms which were better the cleaners worked very hard even folding our pjs on our pillows,

the restaurant was very clean with a good variety of foods but they do repeat them a great deal, the snack bar had the same thing day in day out and pizza was like gold, the staff were very igronant towards the english we found especialy a few of the snack bar staff who were more interested in watching tv or playing the table football they would tell the younger members of our party to use the pool bar which my husband soon put right, there was no entertainment for the english only for the germans, the kids club was german also our children were told they could use this club but it was all in german,

the germans dominate this hotel they were very igronante and my husband had a few rows with them pushing in at the bar and in the dinning room, the pool was great with 2 water slides and you can also use the outdoor facilitys of the sister hotel ralista but if go inside you have to pay for drinks etc,we found the animation team of the ralista far more friendly and spoke in english they had more energy about them ,than the 1s at vita park,

i would recommend if you want to go to albena book the ralista NOT VITA PARK,word of warning if you do go to vita park and use thier exchange facilitys count your money before leaving the counter has we did not the 1 day and the girl short changed us when we went back she argued the amont she owed us saying it was only 100levs instead of 113levs u might say whats 13levs but it was the way she did it when i told her she still owed us 13levs she put her jacket on and walked out completly ignoring us leaving us standing by the desk open mouthed later that day we were called back to the exchange to be given our 13levs and for her to say sorry but she was tired no excuse i dont think,

out and about its not far from the shops or stalls i would call them the stall holders were very friendly some were a bit over powering but just say no and they go away,i think this is a german orintated hotel and the british should not be sent there,we would never go back there ,so if your planning a trip there DO NOT book vita park,BOOK THE HOTEL RALISTA,there are lots of prstitutes but they do not bother you they seem to target men walking on there own, poco loco is a good place to eat for a change they speak very good english and the lively entertainment is all english,

albena is a lovely place just a shame about the people who run vita park and the germans who stay there
