I booked a cheapie, alloted on arrival,did panic after reading some reviews,went to Albena not Golden Sands as expected and so glad,it is a lovely resort,not to big but plenty there,our hotel a 2* was clean and basic,but for what we wanted and the price we paid we was well pleased,breakfast in hotel Magnolia,new hotel every thing you could want for breakfast,all fresh fruit,yogs pastries,lovely ones with custard in,eggs done allways,all types of breads by thee end of the fortnight was getting ungratefull,to much choice,people still complained,i think some are so hard to please,
the beds were the worst bit of holiday,never had such a noisy,rustling noisy,hard bed,not a complaint because we loved it, foood and drink very good and cheap,we liked George at the Green Parrot for cocktails,nice chap,Old house good for eating,buttered mushrooms and saute potatoes,yum.hotel a steep walk down steps or jump on noddy train,3lev for 2 people,every 20mins,walk down ok but after hard day on beach,,train was best, shoes so cheap,and ciggies,there make Victory,50p ish.
went on trip to Nesebar,lovely place,terrific storm that day,it sure do rain when it does,also another on the thurs,went that evening to Istanbul for 2day trip,lot of traveling,hard work going into Turky but well worth it and all for £46,so if you want to see the place you just have to do it,we as lucky as only 11 went on the trip so could pread out,a trip to the Danube and Bulgarian villages church and gardens a good trip,full day, food is nice,
Bulgaria is brillian,go before it gets to spoilt,we did go one evening to Golden Sands to meet friends we made on a trip,went to Mama Mias as he said it was good,best steak,lovely evening,but a big place and still building,so glad we was at Albena.
