We have no idea what people found to complain about. The hotel was lovely, on the beach, very clean. Very good food, no tummy problems at all. You can use the nightlcub All Inc, as well as the drinks there. Also you can use the Pizza/Grill for drinks All Inc and the bar in the Holiday Village. For snacks you can use the Pizza/Grill and the beach bar that is shaped like a boat. We didn't try the A-la-Carte restaurants as we couldn't be bothered to Queue to book them, food in the main restaurant was good enough for us.
Wasps - there are a lot of wasps around, but if you stay clear of sticky sweet drinks they won't bother you too much.
Nessebar is worth a visit, a very pretty old town with lots of history and some good gift shopping.
Sunny Beach is a cross between Faliraki and Benidorm ... if you like that sort of thing!
We liked Elenite as it is quiet and the beach is lovely.
We would certainly stay here agin. The food was very good and the room had a great view of the beach and the Black Sea.
Staff at the Hotel were helpful and friendly, with the exception of one grumpy female who was occasionally on reception.

Unfortunatelty many of the cups and plates are badly chipped or cracked. There are cleaners everywhere the place is spotless. if taking a trip DO NOT go on Picturesque Bulgaria unless you like sitting in a bus for 7 - 8 hours and like looking at trees.

we have just got back from Royal Bay. when we arrived in the middle of the night the hotel looked very impresive,it was the royal park the bigger of the two hotels. then they told us the coach couldnt go any further and we had to get a little buggie to the royal bay couple a mins away. we were not dissapointed when we got to our hotel the beach looked fantastic and very clean. The hotel was inmaculate and so was the rooms we had a sea veiw which was great. Its all inclusive BUT! no entertainment in our hotel. The beach cocktail bar is £4 a cocktail and very poor entertainment if any . The entertainment was all for children, my children would of loved it a few years ago. There is no mats on the longers which were very back breaking and had to purchase a airbed which cost £8 take one with u. taxi into resort was £12
The holiday resort is to out of the way and we had to get bus in to suuny beach and taxi back at the bus stops at 10pm. u have to be very strong with some of the taxi driver as there are rip off merchants tried to charge us £25 for a 10 mins drive. we refu...

We had a great week at the Royal Bay last August. My Daughter loved the Aqua Park and the Beach was clean and swimming was safe. I was very impressed with the amount of Life Guards around the pools and beach, as I was on my own with my Daughter I was able to relax a bit more. The food was good no upset tummies at all. I even had a tattoo whilst I was there, which was cheap and a very hygenic salon. We are going again this year but are staying at the Hotel andalucia which is new. still in the complex so you have use of all the facilities. The locals are friendly and we did tip the maids and Bar staff as they look after you very well. Please do not be put off with the bad reviews, you can't please everyone, if people don't like something they are quick to put everything else good down.
