This is the second time ive been with 1st choice and probably the last, hotel itself was clean and tidy with a great location however the food was bland and cold. There was no hygene safe guards and the staff were all seemed to be unhappy. To call the place all inclusive is incorrect as at least 4 of the bars are pay ones and one of these is on the beach. One of the pay bars has the entertainment put on so they have got you cornered. Aqua park is good but will cost you £2.50 for the sun beds and the same for the umbrella plus the bar in there is a pay bar as well. My son cut his chin on the childrens slide in he park and required 3 stitches, while in the medical centre there was other children coming in with injuries from the park as well.Booked a catamaran cruise with 1st choice which was advertised as a 5 hour luxury cruise however this only lasted just over 3 hours . My party was lucky and did not have any upset stomachs however we returned just before all the outbreak had started.

just got back from a two week holiday at royal park, and would just like to reasure people who are going it was a brilliant holiday!! there was 6 in our party me my partner,my two kids age 3 and 6, and two friends age 20! the rooms were absolutley spotless, fresh bedding and towels often, never had one towel go missin like people say!!tipping the maid just 5levs went a very long way, she was fantastic to our little boys who yes got pens, chocolate, and allsorts on the sheets, changed them without a blink, ok the food in the main restraunt was a little ropey, but we didnt starve!! the bbq was great although you have to book, sozopol restaraunt which was bulgarian cuisine was great really tasty would reccomend that we ate there a few time but you have to book for this also but the queing was not too bad in the first week, just started to get buisy towards the end of our stay, the waterpark was great for the kids and us aswell, the blue slide had just opend and was great if you crave adrenelin rushes, watch for the orange slide though we stayed off that after first go it cut you to bits!! what can i say about the beach!! beautiful!! clean, water in the sea nice and cool, could have lived on it! cant comment on the hotel pool as the beach and water park were so good diddnt feel the need to use it, bars for the drinks rarley had to wait in the day and couple of mins tops at night, pizza hot dogs kebabs served all day, also pannis in the coffe shop that were great for a change, the ice cream in the coffee shop which is all inclusuive was brilliant big selecction, also a mountain of biscuits on offer, ok we have to admit we got a bit bored at night cos other than the kids disco and a show that was put on by the fab animation team not much else to do, would be loads better if they made the beach bar all inclusive as it was loveley but double the price to drinks that you could buy in sunny beach, the white party was good fun though and they let you take your own drinks in to that! would we go again? give it a couple more years and yes we will be going back!!p.s nessebar great worth a visit! pp.s none of our party sufferd any tummy upsets are any other medical probs while we stayed here!!

well where do i start we arrived to hear about a young lass who was billed for towels, every 1 on her bus had 2 collect in for her so she could get her flight home. poor lass we said how shocking: ha little did we know the same thing was going to happen to us,i went to see a rep about the towel carry on, as i had found out that we where on the same floor as all other guests who had to pay a towel bill. the maids name is killina i think thats how you spell it, on the 2nd floor we had room 272 i had my brother and husband with me in a 2 bedroom suite any way the rep told us if any towels should go missing to let her know asap we did,in fact i just didn't stop at that i went to the maid and got our towels back off her is there a problem she could say in English lol the only thing she could say any way we tried to make sure we had all our towels before leaving the room but that didn't stop her she would come in to our room after we had gone out and take the towels out clean towels that had never been used.well on our second week we got our towels changed left the room and gone down to the beach we got back about 5pm/5.30pm only to find that she had been in and took 2 bath towels off us so i went down to see the reps i was so mad i spoke to Allen who went to reception, after 3 times we got our 2 bath towels that was on the Wednesday. on the Thursday afternoon there was a knock on the door it was a gobby so called supervisor with this silly old fool they had as a maid they didn't ask if they could come in they just come in the started to surch our room the gobby supervisor was throwing my brothers clothes all over the bed as we only had 1 wardrobe for the 3 of us. nothing like customer service is there lol they don't understand what customer service is as they don't have any . any way we went to check out on friday late afternoon when Georgina told us we had to pay a fine of 105 levs for 6towels 6 my husband said i don't think so. so it went from 6 to 2 then back to 6 we ended up paying just over £45 for towels we lost. (kilina took). they said we had put them in the rubbish bin lol u know you will be a fined if you loose the towels so why would any 1 want to spend there cash on towels, watch out for the security guards they don't think twice about punching young lasses or ladies in the face, there is a very good tattooist in the shopping center at royal park he did a back peace for me and is very clean to. swimming pool life guards that can't swim.

We visited this hotel in June 2008 and was disgusted by the hotel. The food was outragous with a choice of hearts, liver, kidney and veil on the menu most nights. The vegetarian options were soggy pasta, hard rice or raw potatos. There were ants in the food, never a clean table to sit at, staff were found in peoples beds naked, towels were being stolen from rooms then guests were being made to pay for them, you have to que for everythinf, 45 minutes for a drink in the reception bar, que for the disgusting food for about 30 minutes, and que to book a restaurant to be toldit is fully fooked. Meat was being served raw and lots of people had food poisoning. Children were in hospital due to the water park sucking their feet in as there were no covers on the filters, and you think you're all inclusive? WRONG !!!!! Take money with you if you are brave enough to go to this hotel. The entertainment which you pay for in always in a bar that you pay for drinks. We feel very let down by FIRST CHOICE (LAST CHOICE), and wish we'd never gone to this hotel. There are so many more points about this hotel, including being run by thr russian maffia, staff extreemly rude, lifts don't work and many many more. If you have booked this hotel GET OUT QUICK. If you can't eat outside the hotel in a shack called PACO's. The food is great and on the menu is more that hearts and soggy pasta !!!!!

If u can change your hotel I would strongly advise you to do so because it was the worst holiday i've been on. I went with my partner and three children who were under the age of 6 we spent a further 1000 pound because of lack of entertainment and the food was terrible, the kids club were rediculous only allowed 24 children for a hotel with 430 bedroom everytime I took my kids down to the kids club they couldn't get in because it was full it took me all my time to persude them to go and when we got there they couldn't get in, for two weeks holiday it was tyring for us both. When we arrived at the hotel it was just disappointing but we wanted to make the most of our holiday so that is why we ate out went to sunny beach for decent food and also went to water park every day but had to pay for sunbeds and parasol and also the DRINK. ALL INCLUSIVE NOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!

stayed here 30jun-15july, great complex lovely rooms we had 2 suites really big and clean. aqua park brill! nightckub on site great for teenagers if they don,t want to watch show. snacks were ok but food really poor no kids buffet lie it says, meat not cooked properly no sweets after 7.30 all go hot food put on top of cold food, burnt food mixed in with other food. when fillin trays up with food if split they got dustpan and brush and swept it off the counter n put it in the trays of food. 7 of us went and all of us were ill from days 3 to going home we lived on immodium. without it we would have had to stay in our rooms all holiday we all ended up in bed at least a day each due to sickness.you have to pay for tennis mini golf bouncy castle trampolines and some shows (not my idea of A.I.) when they do some shows they ask kids to dress up but you have to pay 10-20 lev to dress up then you have to pay 5 lev for helium baloons and when the clown makes swords etc. out of baloons its 2lev then 4lev for a 1/4 of sweets glad i only got 1 sml child would ave cost a fortune which you dont expect to spend A.I. If they get the food right, and stop being greedy (it cost you 12lev each for a racket for an hr) at £10 an game for an hr you cant afford to play much on your 2wk hol, it could be great ace waterpark luvly beach plenty to do really safe great kids club great kids entertainment luvly pool and rooms nice hotel if they soted it out would go back defo, but cant face the illness again . its not viral it dont last 12 days if its viral. 2days of good snap and we were all fine when we got ome.

I the same as alot of people on this site read the reviews before I went (big mistake). I booked this holiday over 12 months ago and after reading reviews on this site I was rather worried about the outcome. We flew out on June 13th for a 2 week all inclusive family hoilday with my 2 daughters age 5 & 7, wife and mother and father in law.

The hotel lobby was stunning and we checked in and went to bed at 5:00 am. Getting up on the 14th I went for a quick walk around and found the hotel very clean. We did hear rumours in regards to towels being billed for but we had no problem at all and aslong as you dont use them by the pool you will have no problem. The food was rather repetetive in the main restaraunt but all eadible none of us went hungry. All day long you can eat Pizza, HotDogs, Panninis (at the cafe) and at the barbcue at lunch freshly cooked chicken, pork, sausage etc. What people tend to forget is that Bulgaria is a second world country and recently started to cater for the hoilday going, complaining and unsatisfied English.

For a great holiday next to a beach, by the pool (sunbeds always available by the way) to relax and meet some new people I reccomend it to anyone. As long as you remember the hotel isnt 5 star luxury in Jamaica costing £5,000.00 for a fortnight I am sure you will have a great time, if you have kids they will love it , the waterpark is great and the kids club run by Fistchoice was fantastic (even a film from 9pm untill 11pm) to allow the adults a couple of hours to have a drink in the Irish bar (under the hotel).

The only criticism I have about the whole place is that the restaraunt wasnt cleared quickly enough and sometimes was a struggle to find a clean table (but hey for 45 lev a week would you rush to clean up the discracefull mess some people leave over the floor and the tables)

Some advice for anyone going is that a small tip to bar staff and cleaners of around 5 levs will go along way. Also if you like tatoos take some extra funds with you the artists under the hotel are fantastic and will charge half of what you get here.

Have a great time

every 1 seems to think, that when you get a fine for towels you have took them out of your room lol thats a joke we had to pay 4 6 towels. and from day 1 the maid kept on giving us 5 towels, 4 towels never the right amount. the funny thing was if we where in the room she would count the towels and i would make sure we had all 6 towels. we even tried to get clean towels b4 we left the room to go out, and she would still come in and take clean towels out our room, the 1 time we did leave our room after changing the towels we had gone down to the beach this was our 1st time on the beach and also our last few days there. any way when we got back to our room we only had 1 big towel and 3 small towels explain that 1 if you can, went to see the rep 3 times b 4 we got towels back the next day i had a gobby supervisor making her way in to our room b4 i could get to the door, throwing my bros clothes all over the bed looking for what they didn't say. im sorry but i didn't pay £2000 to go on holiday to be treat like that, or to have to pay over £45.00 for towels we never took out the room and why should you have to leave a tip every day, we have always left 1 on our last day to say thank you but not this time they helped them selves to the tip. i will never go back there and i tell all my friends DON'T GO THERE and ill tell all of you don't go there

We are writing this review in The Royal Park Hotel, we have spent the last week here, and it is absolutely fantastic! We hear they have got a new chef from London, and the food is excellent, there is a good choice for everyone, with a separate children's/family dining area. The appearance of the hotel is stunning. The staff are all friendly and helpful although the language is difficult. There are 13 first choice reps, including entertainers and kids club they are all very good and available daily. Bus service to Sunny Beach for 2 levs (about 86p). Good availability on all local produced drinks for all inclusive. Choice of three swimming pools (but water is cold). We are having a great time and hope this has reassured you. We don't want to go home, and we are definately booking again for next year.

We were staying in apartments nearby and decided to buy an all inclusive pass for the day.2 adults 2 children cost £70,10am until 10pm all you can eat and drink while you were there. The hotel was beautiful and furnished to a high standard, plenty of sunbeds and nice friendly staff. The kids loved the waterpark and didnt want to leave. The food was excellent i am a bit fussy when abroad but the choice was great, salads were lovely and fresh soups good bread was tasty and soft. The choice was great fish,chicken.pork.beef,also some scary looking gizzards which we didnt touch, pasta chips potatoes and every veg going, the desserts were to die for and i am not a dessert person but they were the best i have ever tasted, snacks in between meals were pizza, kebabs, chips the usual fast food,we cant think of anything bad to say even the entertainment was good,oh i tell a lie there was a bad thing the daddylonglegs, they were everywhere but if u dont mind them unlike me you will be fine,if you fancy a change pacos bar is just outside the hotel, good atmosphere in a shack try it was a good laugh, food was good as well, would go again and would stay in the hotel next time also the shops in the hotel sold some really nice clothes.
