Lovely central hotel, near to shops and transport links.Staff could not do enough for you, and sorted out an upgrade to a bigger room when my teenage daughter had a strop that she would have to share a bed with either a parent or her brother........we had a lovely suite overlooking the Square, for very little extra(around £15 per night) that gave two adjoining rooms and a double bed for each person! It really looked lovely too, with lots of character. The hotel , although busy , felt safe, and in four days the staff got to know us by name, and remembered likes and dislikes....we felt very pampered.
There was an interesting farmers market in Nathan Philips square that well worth a look(very cheap fruit prices.but beware.you cant eat it all!)

Did the usual trip to the CN tower, but in hindsite would have either had lunch in the restuarant to beat the queues, or would have had an 'organised'trip, as they sailed past all the queues, and only paid slightly more. The islands were good for a chillout day.....very relaxing compared to the city. We found food relativly cheap for a city, and even found the tim hortons coffee shops fun once we got the knack of ordering(got to like donuts tho'!)

Go to Toronto .It's great city to visit, easy to walk to most sites. The Sheraton was good accom (although were doing building work when we were there).Right in the middle close to shopping and harbour.Large rooms with great views,so get a high floor.walk along the lake, see Blue Jays stadium, but most of all have dinner at the CN Tower. Not cheap, but good food and you get the views, lift and glass floor view for free

We spent the next 2 weeks touring Ontario, which is a beautiful province.
We stayed in B and B's,which were fabulous and easy to find and choose on the internet. We stayed at a fantastic house in Gananoque(Grayrock BB)near to the 1000 islands(boat trip here is a must)and visited the Hershey Choc Factory(Few free samples!)Then to Muskoka lake area which is lovely, finishing off at Niagara Falls.
Great sight and yes, go on the Maid of the Mist and get thoroughly soaked.Niagara on the Lake is good to visit,as is a visit to the local wineries.Lunch at Vinelands winery was very pleasant!
