The hotel features its own garden and offers guests a total of 466 rooms, across four storeys, in two buildings, of which six are wheelchair accessible rooms. This establishment is equipped with a hotel safe, a currency exchange desk, lift access, a tourist bureau, car rental service, a post office, telegram, fax and public Internet (charges apply) services as well as a hairdresser. Further facilities include restaurants serving international cuisine and a lobby bar. Multilingual hotel staff, daily newspapers, room service and a service offering trips to the surrounding area as well as a games room complete the range of services offered. A car park may also be used by guests arriving by car.

Beautiful clean white sandy beach with many kiosks to purchase drinks,food and gifts to take home ,plenty of parking and a taxi rank.two minute walk to supermarkets and restaurants,on the main south coast road so on the bus route as well.

It is a place to get away and unwind. in keeping with the eco tourism aspect, it should be noted that there are no televisions or phones or airconditioning in the rooms. For the Trinidadian weather, the nights are pleasantly cool. The loft in the cottage I stayed with my children was fun ! And in just two weeks since my visit, I have re booked to stay at Acajou. In the other places around that area for turtle watching in Grande Riviere

An array of non-motorised sports such as windsurfing, catamaran sailing and sailing are on offer at the nearby beach.

The location was beautiful and there were loads of things to do. The prices were reasonable and the food in the restaurants was very delicious. I cannot wait for our return trip there.

We really only went to the local plaza and a trip - so difficult to comment - shops are very dear.

Trip to Ocean World at Porta plata was the only one we did and it was fabulous

The resort is nice - we didn't venture too far mainly because of the weather and trips we had booked. Market there is very laid back - no hassle from anyone.

this resort is beautiful, full of long sandy beaches and exactly how it looks on tv and pictures. of course the hotels are mostly all inclusive so dont come here expecting to sample lots of different restaurants and lots of nightclubs. The riu palace where we stayed is not marketed towards loads of kids so do some research if you are bringing the little ones. The riu couple of doors down seemed to have lots more for them to do. all i can say is this place is paradise!!!

The whole resort is beautiful,the beach has powder soft pink sand the sea is a little to choppy for me ,however a short drive and you can be on the south or west coast. The rooms and the views from the room are amazing,comfy four poster beds full kitchens and a jacuzzi in the bathroom .The bar has nightly entertainment some nights better than others.The restaurants are very good value and the pool bar is good for a snack at lunch time . The pools,the beach and the friendly staff at this resort make for a great holiday ,nothing better than a moonlight swim at the end of the day.

he weather of Ocho Rios is beautiful all year long and so there really is not a bad time for travelers to visit the area. The temperature remains virtually the same all year long, with the average high temperature staying between eighty five and ninety degrees and the average low temperature staying between seventy five degrees and eighty degrees. The warm evenings makes it possible to enjoy the beaches at night, a trait which is particularly enjoyed by travelers in the winter months who are coming from cold destinations.

the resort was exalant andwe hired a car on the second week of our holiday round the island. we drove to rodney bay in the car.

We visited Pink Sand Beach on a day trip The sand is truly a shade of pale pink/peach and pictures just do not do it justice. The day we visited Harbour Island, it rained the entire morning we were there and cleared up right after lunch time, just in time for us to enjoy the beach before our return trip back to our resort on Paradise Island. Even though it was still pretty cloudy, while we were on the beach, the sand and water still looked beautiful. Plus, we pretty much had the entire beach all to ourselves. Pink Sands Beach has to be one of the most beautiful beaches I've ever seen, and it is a must-see for anyone traveling to the Bahamas!

A perfect place to "chill out". There are many trips you can go on but, for us after working all year we just like to eat drink and catch some sun. Dominican people know what the word hospitality means and are hard working and gracious. For such a poor country we felt like we were in paradise. Unspoilt beaches that are cleaned every day. The accomodation is "comfy" the staff are amazing. Dont take any money as you dont need it unless you want to do the trips. Every day we got up to watch the sunrise which is amazing we would then go and have coffee, then a champagne breakfast (all in the price) and then we hit the beach. The morning is the best time to go to the beach as the sun is very strong from around 11-30am untill well after 2pm. The afternoons can be used for trips or shopping at the local mall down the road where you can go with free transport from the hotel. Try to pop in to the Hard Rock Cafe its full of guitars that used to belong to people like Eric Clapton and Carlos Santana (and are all signed) In the evening there is entertainment by the house animation team and they put on some really good shows considering they are all untrained. The costumes are brilliant. There is a pizza bar that is open all night and you can eat and drink untill you pop. The only negative comment I could make (and it isnt about the hotel) Is the traders. One day a week they are allowed into the hotel to sell their goods. Albiet I understand they have to make a living I always find them a little intrusive. We have holidayed in the Dom Rep for our last five holidays and we are returning in September (we have only been back home three weeks) We will also be there again in April for three weeks. One thing to remember is that you are going to a poor country. If you want all your home comforts perhaps its best stay there. This is a truely wonderfull holiday and country.

Not much to do....very little there. Supermarket well stocked. Small local shopping centre saves you having to go into Bridgetown. cinema complex was being built so should be finish soon. I won't be going back to see the finished result that's for sure.
