Absolutely stunning beaches. With activities and excursions near by. Good amount of shops But not much of a wide variety to buy, mainly mamajuana , statues, coffee, rum and cigars

only went in day time great to see locals enjoying themselves especially the dancing. little market great get the little train from hotel playa pesquero and take bags of sweets for the children waveing plus great way to travel or take pencils and books

The resort was quiet and out of the way but taxis and buses available from hotel and very reasonably priced.There was no need to leave the resort as food and drink available 24hrs a day, entertainment also there

Resort is good and safe. Souvenirs are reasonably priced and get a ride in 3 wheel tuktuk
Open top bus is fun, carry your passport if you need to use the internet cafe.

it can be what you want it to be, Go into town for shops. Use the open top tour bus to see all the hotels into and out of Varadero. stay by the beach for a lazy fantastic time This resort suits all families - young and old.

beaches were dirty you are unable to leave the hotel grounds due to harassment I have visited Jamaica before we went to Negril which is far nicer by comparison

The beaches are beautifully kept and although you are stopped by a few locals this is not excessive.There was a nightclub next to our hotel which we heard was good fun.There are plenty of excursions to do.We did the Mega extreme which was brilliant. We also did the Paradise Island which we did not feel was that great for money and could be cut do to a half day.The mangroves are a real let down,once you've seen them thats it.Paradise Island itself is stunning though and its nice that snorkling equipment is provided.

To be honest,didnt spend much time "in resort" as holiday was mainly a lazy days at the hotel type. Taxis a bit expensive but there are a few excursions and sigtseeing trips if needed.
