Staff friendly, room looking out over the pool clean and tidy. beaches out of this world. Hot hot hot 36c you need to love the sun! People selling things on the beach but if you said no thanks they were happy if that!

st johns as a town is not very nice and there is little to do,shops are not wonderful but the people are lovely the airport has got to be the worst i have ever visited,dirty,uncomfotable,shops and eateries awfull but overall we love the rest of antigua

Go to this resort for the beach alone. Better than the beach that Sandals have down the bay! Service was slow on the pier but good quality food. Afternoon tea was enjoyable there. Transferred to St James have way through but returned due to huge problems with weed on the beach from the tropical storm.

Best trips were Virgins Ahoy on the largest Cat on the Island and then Virgin Dundee.

We tend to stay in the resort and enjoy the food, drink and sea so I cannot comment on the area outside the hotel as we did not venture out there.

there was a mix of nationalities when I was there Americans, British, Canadians French and Germans. new people arrive each day as others leave. guests are ferried around in golf carts . that system works weel It encourages people to chill out by lazing around the pool or on the beach. there are numerous trips available to the reef or sailing on the catamaran or trips round the island. these are not included in the all inclusive deal but the adventure seeker or explorers would have to venture away from the resort for their adrenelian rush.

never going back!!!!!! Shockingly bad service!!! The hotel should care more about there customers !!!!! No one in there right mined should stay there!!!!

The surrounding area of the hotel - St Johns, was a culture shock. Especially for me. But once you can get over that, which you can, you begin to realise what a lovely place it is. The beaches are clean. The culture is incredibly different but refreshing. We didn't eat out at all, and there wasn't many places to eat out anyway.

The hotel is a little distant from any other facilities. The nearest place is English Harbour which is very picturesque but you really need a taxi to get there unless you fancy an hour's walk !

The beach and beautiful blue sea were what I had been dreaming of since I last went in the Caribbean Sea about 10 years ago. The beach was great and very private. Yes there are lots of small shells but there is plenty of sandy portions and areas where the shells are not bothersome. highlights....walking up/down the step...shell hunting on the beach.

Stayed at the cocobeach and loved every minute of the experience. Great location and food, drinks were of above expectations. Staff were wonderful, all in all a highly pleasurable holiday all round, would not recommend for families with children as more a couples location.

Resort is beautiful, there are many boat trips and chances to try watersports. There is not much to do outwith though, and we felt quite claustrophobic - do go out and see St Johns town and buy some fresh fruit from the sellers. Food on site is extortionate and below average. Lucky we went self catering, the full board menus cost hundreds of pounds more (you can upgrade to all inclusive onsite) but we did not, choosing to go to the supermarket via taxi instead to stock up on food and milk for sandwiches and healthier food. We did treat ourselves to the odd kfc which was on the way back from the supermarket.

St John's itself is very small, however it is well located and there is lots to do within a very sort distance.

We loved Antigua and would go back anyday. The standard of the hotels was excellent from what we saw, and we had no trouble with security. Beaches are perfect, weather fantastic, people friendly.
