Stayed here 4 a week before going on a cruise. Beautiful setting right on the beach. Very Clean. Staff very friendly. Food amazing but a pain having to book a la carte. They need to get thatt sorted. Buffet dinner just as good. Too many kids when we went, dony mind kids but the 12 - 16 year olds antics at night was out of order. Too many kids (yes the 12-16) in areas that they wers strictly forfidden. But we made the most of it. Bar was nice but you could not see the entertainment from the bar area and seating was limited. We just chilled out even when it rained (liquid sunshine......) Would go here agian in a flash,, but not in the unexpected late easter holidays!!!! Beware of the leathal rum coctails.....very strong!!!! The vigin rep Gail was great she arranged for my mum to go go to a doctor when we needed and was a real gem. Never did any of their trips though...rip off!!!! By the way never flying with Virgin again.Diverted back to Gatwick with a suspected fire on board. treated dreadfully by them and flight back was shocking, service really bad. You know where they can shove there free drinks. But getting to Barbados was worth it and all in all had a fantastic time and great cruise after. We will go back here ( just not in school hols)
This hotel is right on the beach and on arriving we walked out on pure white sand and staff offering us the local drink which was very welcoming.

The food is all freshly cooked and the choice is exceptional plus they had a night where they barbegue on the beach a really great night including traditional entertainment a fire eater and dances.
The staff are very friendly and helpful and the cocktails are really fun we all came home many pounds heavier.
We would go back again and would recomend this hotel even though from the front does look a bit un-inviting but the hotel is far from this.
At first glance the resort looks a bit scruffy but this is deceiving when your venture behind the hotel and see the beaches the sun set is spectacular and the views are stunning.
There is a free shutle bus to the main port and you can hire a car to lo...

All Inclusive - we have stayed many places around the World and I always think that when you are all inclusive its very skimpy on food and alcohol - However the food was always excellent with great choice at Lunch and Dinner, the Drinks are very strong and their House Wine is nice. The Al Carte Restaurant which you can dine in 3 times gets booked up, I would advise as soon as you arrive to book in for your 1st 3 nights. We dined out at a place called Josef's just the 2 of us, this was somewhere special and romantic with a lovely setting over the sea.
The beach was nice, just get there early to get a Brolly if you need one! There are a few men on the Beach who hassle you, The Pirate and B sell Chains, Bracelets etc. but you just have to be firm and say no, they still will come everyday and have a quick chat with you!
Accommodation - We have a 1 bedroomed ocean view suite, it had a Lounge / Kitchen downstairs and a Bedroom Bathroom upstairs. The rooms were very clean.
Pools / Around the Hotel - The 2 Pools are very small, I am a beach Person though. The only thing with the appearance was it just looked like it needed a lick of paint which the staff said it was starting its make over.
Staff - When you first arrive, the bar staff and waiting on staff could look miserable, but you need to make the effort and if you do you will find they then are smiley and aknowledge you for the rest of the week.
Shop / Beautician - The lady in the Shop Suzanne is sooo funny and the shop stocks lots of things and newspapers etc. 1 day old. And we had massages - It is the best one we had ever had.
Entertainment - There are some good trips to do. We recommend the Show 'Roots and Rhythm' it was a brill night with really good atmosphere. Also we took a 40 min bus ride to Sandy Lane Hotel, you are suppose to have an appointment but we snook in round the back, just go up to the Security and ask if you can have a drink at the bar, we were lucky then we walked through after and walked out the front!
If I was visiting as a sole couple then I think our experience would not have been as good, I would say this Holiday is more for Family's or a Party.
Don't forget..... Your Holiday is what you make it!

Rooms - if you book, do not bother with the standard rooms ... these are extremely small and generally unpleasant. Upgrade to a 1-bed apartment. These are basically decorated but spacious and clean with either balcony or patio. Some apartments overlook the road and can be disturbed by the music from the nearby nightclub during the weekend - try and avoid these.
The food is great with a general food area, snack bar and a la carte.
Beach - fantastic!!
Staff - extremely friendly, especially if you make an effort with them. Bear in mind that you are in the Caribbean and everything is at a much slower pace than the U.K.
There is a watersports centre on site at Sandy Bay Beach Club which is run by Rob. Don't miss out on the trip to swim with the turtles - fantastic!!
Kids club is excellent, although not run like those in the med. Children are allowed to wander in an out when they like, which is fine if the children are a bit older. My daughter loved the freedom of escaping from the heat and enjoyed making some lovely craft work and playing board games.
Can't wait to return and meet up again with Risee, Alicia, Frank, Ice, Kenny, Rob and not forgetting Bingo!!
