"Holiday Inn Sunspree review"
Overall Hotel Rating:
we booked a flight down from manchester to gatwick airport,( b.a. )checked in 12 hrs early, stayed overnight at the moat house ok,flight to aruba arrived early, waited 2 hrs to get from the airport to the hotel, baggage came 2hrs after, the holiday inn is presently undergoing a refit, and it is badly needed, resteraunts have been moved,or shut, and the standard of food, leaves a lot to be desired, service is slow, and your kept waiting,on the plus side, the beach is great, the water unbelievable, and the weather superb,we dont think its the place for familys, but to chill, relax, top up the tan,the sunsets are incredibleAruba is expensive,I think we would go back, but not to the holiday inn,the majority of guests are from america,so we had good banter with quite a few, there are lots of good places to eat,all priced differntly,(prices go from £30-£80) all in all,an experience, enjoy

"Holiday Inn Sunspree review"
Overall Hotel Rating:
Really looked forward to going somewhere different. The flight was good although long but not far to travel to the hotel. The island itself is wonderful and you can walk freely around and higher a car and go round the island in half a day if you wish.
Aruba is very 'american' and caters for self catering as well as fully inclusive.
We opted to take the Holiday all inclusive package as wanted a totally 'chill out holiday'.
The hotel description of 'entertainment' was very dissapointing as there was 'entertainment' but in a very very small bar with music blasting out and an extremely small stage for any artists which spoiled everything as no one could get in and IF you could you couldn't see anything!
The food, whilst good but basic in the main restaurant the staff were poorly trained but in respect worked extremely long hours for what I guess would be a small wage... however you had to wait for every meal for anything up to half an hour which really tested patience as there were many empty tables... staff wondering around as no one had guidance as to roles etc.
The evenings were the worse as there was a small bar available and no lounge area to wind down or talk to other guests if you wished..Would go back to Aruba but certainly not the holiday inn - in fact would try accommodation only as other hotels in the area catered for guests wishing to relax in the evening with a nice cocktail or two!
