"Jamaica Pegasus Hotel"
Overall Hotel Rating:
Stayed for almost a week for business in Kingston. Warm, friendly staff - all very helpful. Clean, spacious rooms with nice little touches like great views, free internet, bath salts and turndown service. The food was EXCELLENT. Loved the 24x7 Cafe and breakfast buffet at the Country Kitchen which was open air to the pool and gardens. The Columbus restaurant was a delight and I had what quite possibly was the best meal ever - you must try the Pumpkin soup and Shrimp casserole! I appreciated the late hours for the Business Centre, traditional afternoon tea with live music, fantastic coffee and the beautifully landscaped grounds. A lovely hotel and a tremendous value - much better than expected, plus the most reasonable rates in the city.

"Charming enough"
Overall Hotel Rating:
The Pegasus is a reasonable business hotel, a little cold for the leisure traveller. Check in straightforward, though busy, lots of flight crew staying. The receptions is pretty big and impressive, long line of check in desks, shops, atm (great to have inside for those worried about security), enterences to restaurant and bar. The rooms are well appointed, comfortable beds, good showers, clean, comfortable, souless. The breakfast that is included has an impressive range of hot and cold food, but the hot food does not taste great, its all quite sweet and not that fresh. The pool is big and brilliant to laze in, the fountain thing is a bit weird. There are tennis courts but it was too hot to use them. Did use the walking track a couple of times in the morning but it gets dull.
Room service was always prompt and pretty good.
A nice place to stay, but its an anywhere hotel and Kingston has a few places that feel more friendly and local than this one.
