the hotel is at the bottom of the hipstrip so you can easily walk there and back into the city or even get a cab, loads of shops, bars and resturants to choose from. there is two or three public beaches you can try.

We love the carribean and would certainly recommend Jamaica to anyone. The people are extremely friendly and welcoming. The entry visa into Jamaica leaves a lot to be desired as the process through passport control is extremely slow.

We did not really go down-town but what we have seen on the bus and heard from other people - beware. Everybody runs to you selling you this and that and they do not let you go that easily.
