"Couples Swept Away"
Overall Hotel Rating:
Fronting a slice of pristine sands and clear waters, it’s typically Caribbean setting. And factor in low-rise buildings hidden by gardens and palms for a secluded vibe. One of the best things about this place, however, is that it’s part of our Exclusively for Adults range. In the grounds, you’ll find two pools. Curvy in shape, they’re both good sizes, and one comes with a swim-up bar. Sun decks stretch out alongside the water and loungers are huddled in twos under palm-thatched parasols. What really stands out here, though, are the little touches. Take the flag system at the beach, for example. Come the cocktail hour, place your flag in the sand and a member of staff will come and take your order. Plus, afternoons see fruit kebabs and cooling face towels brought to your lounger.

"Get swept way in Negril."
Overall Hotel Rating:
We arrived at CSA on 03/02/09, 10 days before our wedding. It was the middle of the night due to airport delays so we did not appreciate the beauty of the place till the next morning and wow it was stunning. We were woken by the sound of a woodpecker and the palm trees rustling in the wind...perfection. The room was fantastic, we had a private room hidden behind a lovely garden, perfect for honeymooners... There was a huge bed, plenty of storage an amazing wetroom and a large private balcony, we were very satisfied. There a 4 main resturants, our favourite The Palms, Patois patio, Lemongrass and feathers. The last 2 have to be prebooked and have dress codes, they were ok but we expected more for the extra effort it took to book the resivation. The food at Palms and Patois was simply amazing, 3 course al a carte menu with some buffet nights in the Palms. Even a beach buffet every friday night with entertainment such as fire eating and circus acts too, very entertaining. The service was quick and efficient. The Cabana grill served food till 5am then breakfast starts at 6am, so yo can never go hungry. The whole hotel was spotless, they were constantly cleaning and sweeping inside and out. The beach was beautiful and clean aswell, we were not hassled too much as the security guards were always there if beach sellers got a bit to intense. Plenty of water sports to keep anyone busy in the sea, not jet ski though unless you paid extra. All the staff were friendly and helpfull, they even cooked a fish that my husbad Graham caught deep sea fishing, it was delicious. Noting was too much trouble for the guests. I feel I must mention Jacqui the tour desk lady, she was just brilliant, if you go to CSA make sure you see her, she knows everything and everyone. The entertainment staff were great, lots of daily activities such as tie dye and hat making not to mention the evening shows which sometimes were a bit load but generally entertaining. Our wedding was perfect and organised very well, a stress free way to get married. We had the most amazing time, married on the beach, one of several beautiful locations, we had a steel band, photos at sunset followed by a lovely meal with our guests, everything was taken care of. Overall we have no complaints and would highly recomend this hotel to all couples wanting some R'n'R.

"Excellent, relaxing hotel"
Overall Hotel Rating:
We stayed at Couples Swept away from 1st Nov to the 15th Nov. An excellent hotel if you want a relaxing holiday. The food was excellent with a good choice of restaurants with plenty of options in each. Premium brand drinks are freely available in the all inclusive package. We booked a Garden Verandah Suite with stocked fridge and drinks cupboard (included) plus TV. The room and bathroom were clean and more than adequate - although a little more drawer space would be handy for guests staying for 2 weeks. The grounds and beach area are kept very clean and tidy. Service from the staff in all areas of the hotel was excellent - they go out of their way to be helpful and friendly - quick and efficient too, we were very impressed.

"Couples Swept Away review"
Overall Hotel Rating:
As a travel agent i was taken to Jamaica with the Jamaican Tourist Board to check out the island and many hotels, however, i have to say that the Couples Swept Away was definetly the best hotel i visited....
I was lucky enought to spend 2 nights in this hotel so i experienced a lot. I flew from Heathrow with Air Jamaica, although i found the staff to be quite miserable i still had quite an enjoyable and comfortable 10 hour flight.
We arrived in Jamaica quite late at night and it was very dark, i was quite frightened because driving through the villages on the way to Negril it looked like i was in the middle of world war 3. Luckily the next day i realised it was nothing like my 1st impression.
On arrival at the Swept Away i knew straight away that i would be going there for my own holiday soon, the reception is bright and airy and the staff made us feel really welcome with a complimentary glass of champagne while we were checking in. The hotel is surrounded by greenery, flowers of all colours (and dare i say it, MOSQUITOS) make sure you take some repellant, they are really vicious.
Our room at the hotel was very spacious with 2 double beds even though there were only 2 of us in the room. it had all the facilities you needed (not a TV though)
The food at the hotel was outstanding and after dinner they usually have some sort of entertainment on, they had a reggae singer/disco when we stayed there. Make sure you try the cocktails too, its all inclusive so you can have as many as you want, The staff in the restaurant and the bar were also fantastic.
the beach is right on your doorstep and it beautiful white sandy, i was too busy working to spend time on the beach but it looked great.
A trip to Dunns river falls is well worth a visit, loads of fun but be prepared you will end up under the water as i experienced when our guide pushed me in :-)
Also a trip to Dolphin Cove is worth a visit, we got to do the encounter programme where we stand in the water and kiss and touch the dolphin, that was a highlight for me.
And also the Canopy tour which is basically being strapped in a harness hundreds of feet in the air and swinging through the trees like tarzan. Beware though there is one which you have to step off the edge of the platform and its like a bungee jump, just falling to the ground, i still havent recovered yet. Great day out though but hard work, it rained the day we did it so you imagine the mess we got into in the mud.
The only thing about Jamaica which drove me nuts is nothing is ever a rush to them, being on a travel agent educational we had a strict schedule to stick to and we ended up waiting around for people all the time. and when getting served at the bar or in restaurants they really dont rush. they always seem to be on a go slow.
All in all i cant wait to go back and do it all over again.
Fantastic country, wonderful people, welcoming atmosphere and marvellous beaches. Really cannot go wrong
