very nice place to stay, hot and beautiful beaches! clean and friendly people, food was great too! would return.

The hotel was all inclusive so we did not venture out to eat and the entertainment at the hotel was fantastic so we had no reason to go elsewhere. We went on a few tours. We didn't like to restricted shoppping trip to Ocho Rios as we did not have any freedom to go where we wished, otherwise Dunns River and Nine Miles was worth every penny. Loved the Bob Jeep and the whole Bob Marley experience. Next time, and there will be a next time, we will take a taxi into Ocho Rios and do our own thing.

this was a lovely friendly hotel everything about it was good. I have no complaints atall. The entertainment staff were excellent waiter bar staff etc. all nice and friendly and served you with a smile. An excellent holiday apart from the bad weather we had.

The resort was kept clean - although a lot of building is still going on - The hotel food was fantastic the presentation was amazing and nothing too much problem for the bar/waiting staff. The entertainment was different every night - some shows better than other

Runaway Bay is very central to the main attractions. I would really recommed going to Dolphin Cove it is amazing, Dunnes River, Bob marley are also really good place to go.

We went on four trips, the best one was by far was cool runnings, Bob Marleys musesm was good and black river was ace - def recommend these, we didnt enjoy the Negril beach and sunset - it was sold to us and we were disappointed when we got to negril as we were just put on another hotels beach which was very very crowded! You imagine white sands, blue sea and very few people, however the sunset at the rock cafe was good. Well recommended hotel - we will be def going back.

Runaway Bay is a beautiful resort that is quiet in comparison to Montego Bay or Ocho Rios but if a laidback, get away from it all holiday where you can recharge your batteries is what you want then this is the place to go.

Being all inclusive in a compound resort we didnt really wander out into the main street apart from a visit to the Supermarket and Pharmacy. Although i am sure we would have been ok i wouldnt go out at night and the resort is mainly for the use of the locals

runaway bay is very nice there are some really nice beaches around apart from the one on the complex. It is safe to go out and about but agree taxi fares before you get in. There are not many bars around the hotel but if you go into ocho rios which is a taxi ride away there are shopping plazas and a hard rock cafe which i can recommend. There are also craft markets which you can get local wood carvings and painting here you will find a present for everyone back home.

Excellent. Plenty to see and do, loads of excursions as well. Although even if you just want a wander down to the beach and round the complex, there is plenty to do.

We did not really venture out of the resort much on our own, we did go to the local supermarket and gift shops and felt comfortable when doing so. We did do some trips and did not have to travel far to do them, all of which were great, Dunns River/Cool Runnings, 9 Miles/Bob Marley and Dolphins. I dont really feel we ventured out enough on our own to the local area but hope to next year, cant really give an honest rating for this reason.

Didn't really look like there was much to do and didn't really leave the hotel except to go on excursions. There are better beaches in Jamaica but these were ok.

Runaway Bay is traditional friendly and welcoming, being to ladies travelling alone, we travelled out together, absolutely felt safe and secure. think safe
