Jersey is a perfect island, the beaches are beautiful and very clean and tidy. The Green Lanes are wonderful to drive or walk up and down. We have been traveling to Jersey for 18 years and have never had a bad holiday there. Even if the weather is cold or wet then there are plenty of things to see and do. The island caters for every pocket, with B&B's, hotels, guest houses and camping to suit everyone. There are resturants, cafes, take away etc to suit every taste and again to suit every budget. We believe that everyone should travel to Jersey at least once in thier life time, just dont keep going back like us as we love the peace and quiet.
We have traveled to Jersey nearly every year for the last 18 and this was our first visit to the Ocean Walk. The rooms are clean and tidy and are of a good size, we traveled with dogs and they were more than helpful in that area, so no complaints there. Nik...
Beautiful Island.
Beautiful Island.
We went to Jersey because it is an English speaking Island.

St Helier.
Found St Helier being the island capital was a bit big and nowhere near as attractive as the smaller resorts. Lots of Bistros and Italian restaurants but only a few pubs serving bar meals (mainly lunch time not evening). Very quite on a night, few people in restaurants but bars empty. We stayed midweek and just out of season!
Car hire pre-booked with Europcar for collection from airport. Service very efficient, but you will be provided with, and charged for half a tank of petrol. Only used quarter of a tank during our stay. We felt car was essential for a short stay to make the most of your time on the island. Small car (Ka) is more than adequate as the island is only 9 miles by 5 miles with maximum speed limit of 40mph. St Helier one-way system can be a bit of a nightmare.
Weather.
During our stay the weather was poor, rain, windy and a little sun.
Would recommend to others the Hampshire Hotel and Jersey for a short break.
Hampshire Hotel.
Very pleasant and relaxing 3 nights stay at the Hampshire Hotel 28th April 2008. Stayed in a Premier double room (booked through Superbreak as Deluxe room) on the ground floor behind reception. It was very nice and very clean, but a b...
