"Camping in Jersey"
Overall Hotel Rating:
We chose to stay on a campsite in a ready erected, fully equipped tent. The tent itself was adequate, with limited equipment. Gas for cooking and a fridge added another £70 to the cost of a 2 week stay. The space in the tent was limited as there were 6 of us and my daughter and myself had to share a double bed as did two of my sons, so not as comfortable as we could have been. No room in the tent for luggage and we could not park the car near the tent so had to drag heavy bags and bedding etc from the car park to the tent on arrival and departure. Car park was also full if you came back to the campsite after about 9pm. Campsite itself was very clean, resturant was reasonably priced and showers and toilets well maintained. Noise was a problem, even though the campsite was supposed to be quiet between 11pm and 7am. The Travelsmith tents were very close to the entertainment area, and people did not always return to their tents once it had finished. Lots of teenagers hanging around also. Swimming pool was small and only really suitable for children. Shop did not have much in it and you had to get there as soon as it opened to get bread or a newspaper as they sold out quickly.
