"Great Hotel but very little parking !!"

We have traveled to Jersey nearly every year for the last 18 and this was our first visit to the Ocean Walk. The rooms are clean and tidy and are of a good size, we traveled with dogs and they were more than helpful in that area, so no complaints there. Nikki, the manager is freindly and approachable, the staff waiting on at breakfast are polite but not chatty, there was no conversation with them at all. The room we were in had no clock or radio, which is something we have never not had before, nor did it have glasses/beakers for you to drink from or to use to clean your teeth. The room also had one window that you couldnt open as there was no handle and one that didnt close, the windows were not a huge problem for us as we were on the rear of the hotel, if you were on the front then it could of been as the hotel is right on the roadside, something that you cannot tell by the photos of the outside or from the inside of the hotel in any brochure or website. The hotel is perfect for anyone traveling by foot/cycle or hiring a bike, as there is very little parking (7 cars spaces for very small cars even though the advert says "ample parking") but it is perfectly situated for the foot/cycle path from St Helier to St Aubins and there is a bus stop 10 yards up the road. The parking for us was the major problem as there were more than 7 cars trying to park there and it was a case of first in, best parked !!! Everyone was playing musical cars in the evening and mornings to get in or out. Overall the stay at Ocean Walk was lovely, the rooms are not expensive and they are clean and tidy, Nikki was very friendly and the possition of the hotel is wonderful for the views. Just be aware of the roadside possition and lack of parking, if you are planning to hire a car, make it a small one.
