Windmills has the most perfect sea view so make sure you book a sea view room. You can also gaze out on it from the dining room. The food is delicious with lots of choice for breakfast and four courses for evening meal. Steve and Jane are friendly and helpful as are all their staff. There is a bar and a swimming pool and very pretty gardens. St Brelades bay is lovely- a walk on the beach at low tide is a must-don't miss the rock pools. Hire a car as nowhere is very far away. Visit Gorey and Durrell Zoo for great days out. If you like noise and bustle stay elsewhere on the island but if you like peace scenery and nature stay here.
One thing to watch for is sudden fog. This can cause your flight home to be delayed or cancelled altogether as we found out last year-we ended up staying an extra two days as no planes could land until it cleared. Those extra days bump up the cost as holiday insurance only covers delayed flights and not accomodation and food costs. There was a slight delay this year but we got away ok. Jersey is a beautiful island and well worth visiting.
