We just wanted to add to the fine reviews regarding this hotel and resort. We spent two weeks here and although it is quiet the time flew by. The hotel itself is in a perfect position (two mins from bed to beach), and it is exceptionally clean. Our room and towels were cleaned everyday. We were half board but we rarely ate in the hotel because the restaraunts were so cheap and lovely. We sampled fresh fish and scrummy pizzas everyday along with copious amounts of cheap alcohol. We did not spend more than £30 a night and we were trying! The hotel pool is a lovely area, get early for the sunbeds though! The beach, although stoney, was perfect. The sea was so warm we spent all day snorkelling looking at the array of sea life.

If you are looking for a lively nightlife then this is not the place for you. I'm sure once the euro is introduced the prices will go up, but for the time being if you looking for a relaxing holiday with cocktails, sun, sea, and fresh food you can go no further than here.

I have just come back from a 2 week stay and I have to say it was one of the best Hotels I have stayed in. Its was spotless and our towels were changed everyday and the room were fantastic, we had a high floor with sea view over the bay. All the staff especially the bar staff were so friendly. The pool was great and a 2 minute walk to the beach which is right outside the hotel. We went half board and the food was lovely so much choice, my only complaint would be we like to go to dinner late so by the time we went the vegtables were not as hot if you went when they first opened.

We went on 2 fantastic trips: Kirka Falls which took our breath away by the scenery. Dubrovnik which is a must.

I would recommend this hotel and resort for a lovely relaxing holiday.

We were both quite apprehensive about going to Croatia and what to expect, as there was not much info on the hotel or many reviews, but this place certainly made Tucepi and Croatia a place to return to in the future!

Hotel:
The place is immaculate, all areas; pool, restaurant, reception, gardens, rooms, everything! It is so well presented and looked after. The rooms are above average, with satellite TV, mini bar etc.
I don't recommend paying for a 'sea view' as the trees are in the way in most rooms.
Pool was great, only concern was, there was no lifeguard. All the staff spoke English well, better than I can speak Croatian anyway! And they are so friendly.

Restaurant:
The food was nothing to write home about, but tasty. It was a little limited on variety. But it is so cheap to eat out in the town we didn't mind eating in there some nights, drinks are pricy though. The staff in the restaurant are very friendly and helpful. You get allocated a table for the week, and we got sat with another English couple luckily, but some people we spoke to were sat with foreign people who spoke no English.

Location:
Fab! You are 5 minutes walk from Tucepi town centre, lots of restaurants and 'tat' shops. The steps in the hotel take you onto the long promenade which goes from one end of the town to the other, 5 minutes walk the other way are a few really nice bars and clubs. The food, souvenirs etc are all SO cheap.
Beaches are very long, but pebbly, so take a lilo, or buy one for £3. But very clean, and water is crystal clear.
Bars we recommend: Batula, Havana and Coco.
Restaurants: Leonardo's terrace restaurant overlooking the marina (We had a gorgeous 3 course meal and large bottle of wine, and paid £25!!! You cannot fault it!

Excursions:
Mostar (in Bosnia) - Which got bombed in the 1993 war, a beautiful place and very interesting
White Water Rafting - BRILLIANT!

Recommend it for:
Young and old Couples andFamilies.
Not a huge nightlife, more people watching, so maybe not for people wanting to 'live it large'

Overall Evaluation:
Highly recommend
A****+++

Hotel afrodita was the cleanest hotel that we have ever stayed at, towels were changed daily and beds every 2 days! The food was very good with plenty of choice.Staff were helpful and polite. The pool was lovely and very clean but the usual sun bed problems! luckily beautiful beach with crystal blue sea right on door step better than pool anyway! Resort not really for teenagers - quite low key and shuts up early ( 12ish) even in high season. Watersports available on beach , plenty of bars and restaurants in short distance.Drinks and food were very good in local restaurants and bars and cheap.
We did a couple of trips while there would recommend the Dubrovnik one and were also told that white water rafting and Biokovo mountain trip were also excellent.Would definately recommend this hotel and we would certainly go back there again.
