We stayed at this hotel on a half board basis. It was a very well kept hotel with nice furnishings and very clean. The food was good and we enjoyed the fact that you could eat outside, which was lovely as the weather was gorgeous while we were there. It says that dinner is between 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. but don't go any later than 8.30 p.m. as they clear the buffet away while you are trying to get it! The food was varied and plentiful at the hotel, but we found the whole croatian cuisine a bit bland.
We planned to eat out in the lovely town of Porec but the choice of food was limited to pizza, spaghetti, steak, calamari or fish platter. While these were nice two weeks of eating out would have been too repetative and this spoiled our holiday a bit.
Prices are not cheap as people had told me - a coco cola being around £2.00 the same as a large beer. Meal for two with one drink each and a dessert averaged £30.00. Desserts consisted of pancakes or ice cream. Not much choice for any light lunches they had the same menu as for dinner and the same price.
Around this hotel was thick woods with a path going along the sea into porec (no photos on the internet show this). This was nice but it was a big trek to the town and very dark coming back although you do feel very safe. This hotel could be a bit too far away if you want to go into the town a lot but you can get the train.
If you want to hire a sunbed on the sea front they are £2.00 for the day
There was a piano player in the hotel lobby of an evening which was excellent but the other entertainment was awful (old fashioned songs etc).
There were loads of children and big family groups, not really for couples unless you plan on going on tours a lot of the time. The pool area and the bathing platforms were crowded and very very noisy not a place for relaxation and peace and quiet.
The town of an evening was vibrant with shops and restaurants and the market stalls open and loads of people walking around a great atmosphere.
I would go back to Croatia, but felt unprepared this time as I didn't see enough of the surrounding area on the internet to know what to expect. I would go again but because we are a couple would stay nearer the town and would not go in July or August and would book half board as the hotel food was good.

Hotel Diamant is an excellent hotel, with very good value for money. We stayed on half board option, most nights we dined in the hotel restaurant as there was a different theme night each night.
Hotel entertainment was on every night and if not held at hotel diamant, at the ones nextdoor which you could use all the facilities of. You could use the gym, indoor pool any time and to use the wellness centre it was about £5 for all day, good if you want to sunbath in quiet.
You could hire bikes and play tennis for a small charge. The hotel was very clean and are room tidy every day.
The hotel is about fifteen minuteus away from porec centre which is a nice walk through the woods.
We booked to trips to venice and slovenia, which were excellent value at £40 each. Porec excellent with many things to do and eat out. But dont go if you expect a lively holiday i.e drinking late. But there was a few bars open until about four am on the way to porec. Generally everything cheap. Staff Very friendley

Hotel was above what we expected for the price. The food was suberb with far too much to eat and a wide variety to suit all tastes. The hotel had a super fitness centre and indoor pool as well as an outdoor pool. This was a good place if you want a relaxing holday with access to Porec by water taxi or a mini train, lots of places to walk in the pine trees or enjoy mini golf.
