Hotel Neptun right in the centre of Porec overlooking the harbour and Portunna Hotel which is on a small Island, ferry every 30 mins takes 5 mins no problem.

The hotel if you are being critical could do with a coat of paint.But its fine spotless and the food very good.Rooms are half at front with sea view only 4 have balconies and these are very small all rooms at back look at or over private houses, its not a problem.

The rep for Thomson/portland is called Lisa she is first class.

When there we went on day trip to Venice,i have been once and will NOT go again its crowded smelly expensive and not as nice as Croatia.

There are lovely walks both north and south of Porec but it is better south towards Plava Laguna.

If you want a first class day out on a boat the best one by a mile is the DELFIN it goes from the far end of the harbour £15 each with wine and a barbecue and visits 2 small towns along the coast leaves at 10 am back at 5.30pm we are not seafarers but the best day out for a long time.

Porec is great most bars close by midnight,no drunks or fools average age about 50 ish .

Never been before but have booked again for Sept 2005
