Just returned from this hotel, well deserves its 4 star rating really comfortable rooms spotlessly clean, towels changed every day ,bedding every 3 days, shower gel, shampoo, slippers supplied.given room without a balcony as when booking this holiday with thomson they wanted to charge an extra 370 pounds for this, after spending 2 nights we enquired about a balcony, changed room cost 54 pounds total for remaining 12 nights.

stayed halfboard food excellent choice excellent.pool area too small for this hotel as there is also bungalows and villas using this pool area as usual not enough sunbeds they should use sun beds in the wooded area within this complex, this hotel is situated in the spadicci region of porec,25 mins walk to porec town centre.[there is a train service to porec town costs 1 pound runs every thirty mins but if its raining this service stops ]entertainment poor at this hotel only one night entertainment per wk.staff at this hotel very helpful nothing too much trouble for them.

would recommend this hotel, however we will not return to this resort again as there is very little to do in the evenings except walk which you will find it quite hazardous when dark poor lighting,go to rovinj its much nicer we stayed there last year.eden hotel

Just spent a great week here. We were in the village, in a bungalow which is in parkland next to hotel. Quiet and clean, we had clean towels daily. We hired a small fridge for £1.50 a day.

The food is excellent we stayed half board and happy to eat there. Buffet style and plenty of choice. Dinner was choice of 2 soups which were delicious, then there were salads, pasta, vegetables cooked a variety of ways, pizza, and a choice of meats and fish. They changed them daily and all fresh putting fresh out 15mins before closing so no need to rush. Desserts were cakes fresh fruit and trifle type dishes.
Breakfast was also vast choice. Food was prepared and cooked beautifully. Our last night we had folk music and dance and traditional foods.
The staff are all friendly and helpful, I had a need for a dentist and they arranged this easily for me.
The hotel was a 1/2 hour walk from the centre of Porec which was a nice walk alongside the coast or through parkland. Otherwise there was a small train for £1, though it didn't appear to stick to the timetable.
Porec is a pedestranised historic beautiful old town, on the harbour. Plenty of places to eat and drink and watch the world go by. Icecreams are gorgeous!

We did three trips through our rep. They use Kompass which it seems most of the companies do. They were good and would recommend, guides spoke good English and were knowledgeable. The only fault is they pick up from several resorts so you can be on the coach a long time and there aren't toilets on board. We did the Brioni islands where you go by catamarran to the larger island where Tito had his summer palace, have a ride on a train and see some of the animals.
Also Istra tour where you go inland spend time in a couple of small towns which are beautiful have a typical lunch and wine included then go to Pula to see the ampitheatre and have some free time.
The other was into Slovenia to the Postojna caves which were beautiful and well worth seeing, then to see the Lipica horses. All of them were excellent and good value.

I would happily go back as a week was not long enough. Weather was a bit changeable but did not spoil our time.

We booked via My Travel on the internet and we thought we would be staying in the hotel itself, but we were allocated a bungalow. This was fine as they were clean but basic, however, we did think there would be air con as there is in the hotel, but there isn't in the bungalows.

The hotel is nice apart from the pink decor! We stayed half board but only ate breakfast which was good, plenty of choice, hot and cold. The staff in the hotel were very friendly and helpful. The hotel has a nice pool although it was always busy. The hotel is right next to the sea, although there isn't a sandy beach, there are bathing platforms with steps into the sea.The loungers and parasols are 20 kuna each (about £2). There is a big water slide for children, this would be a great place for families, I would definately consider bringing my 10 year old son here. Near the hotel there was sand pits, volley ball, quad bikes, pitch n putts (one in the hotel grounds), trampolines, also there was an indoor games room with video games and pool tables just along from the hotel towards Porec. In Porec itself there is a fun fair too.

The walk to Porec is a very pleasant one through pine trees on a flat pedestrianised road most of the way. There is cycle hire across from the hotel also, outside the Spadeci restaurant. This restaurant has a sea view right on the beach, therefore it's more expensive than the others. We went to the Istraika restaurant just near the hotel, the staff were very friendly and the food was good and price reasonable. Next to Istraika is a mini mart selling all sorts of food, fresh bread, fruit, water, wine, beer etc. DON'T GO IN MATEADA PIZZERIA! We had terrible service and the food was all soggy and THEY DON'T SELL PIZZAS! Porec town is a lovely place, lots of cafes and restaurants, nice harbour. There is a market on the harbour good for swimming equipment etc but most of it is tat! Beware the perfume sellers as the bottles have just got water in them. The restaurants in town were all very good, but similar. We went to the follow:- Lapidarium - jazz bar, live jazz on Wednesday nights, but was very busy. Spoilt only by the toilets, which were just a hole in the ground!!! Cotton Club, good food and friendly staff. The restaurant in the converted fort in the town, was probably the worst place we went to. The staff were arrogant and rude and the food was average but over priced. Sarajevo pizza place good for lunches, very friendly staff, but wouldn't go for evening meal as mainly pizzas. There are many shops in Porec, so great for shopping!! Porec has a very Italian feel to it, being only across the water from venice. The ice cream parlours in Porec are amusing, shouting the customers in off the street!! Many Croatians also speak Italian. You can go to Venice on a day trip, about 2.5hrs on a boat.

I would say the best things about Porec are:- no lager louts or chavs! No crime so very safe, not having to watch your bag all the time. It is also very green and pretty, very relaxing!! I would definately go back.
