The hotel was uniquely decorated in a bijoux 60's style retro. Different! Rooms were fairly small, but that added to the boutique style theme. No real sea views, as hotel is set in a lovely forest.

One of the only hotels I have been to set in such unique surroundings. Never any trouble to find sun beds, lots of them in the shade too, under trees.

A very large pool area, with a seperate children's pool. Lots of activities for the children al day.

Varied entertainment every evening, with waiter service for drinks.

The best thing about the hotel Eden has to be the food! I have read some reviews where people have complained. Can't believe it! The variety, choice and chef's specials are lovely! (Our half board option only worked out about £6 pp per day!)

Rovinj town is a lovely 10 min walk. A ";real"; fishermans village, not just the hype!Lovely bars and resteraunts, cobbled streets and lots of shops.

Would highly reccomend.

Just spent two great weeks at this wonderful hotel. We are not used to Hotels preferring self catering, but decided to try something different this year.

It is a large place, but once inside you soonrealise that it is a very warm and welcoming, with the personal touch.

The rooms could be bigger, but they are quite well equipped (no drawers) and the bathroom is full size. TV is news only.

Meals are self service, but there is loads ofchoice, catering for all tastes. Restaurant staff are always on hand.

Entertainment was average, but we still enjoyed most of it.

We werethere is a heatwave, and were grateful for the large pool, and extensive tree covered grounds. No need for a parasol here.

Rovinj itself is a magical place. It takes about 15 mins to walk there, but it is full of narrow streets, and great places to eat.

We tried several trips, including Venice. All were a little rushed for us, but memorable.

Croatia, Rovinj and Hotel Eden provided us with one of our best holidays yet. Highly recommended.

Our first and definately not last visit to Croatia.

We were watching the weather on the net days before and it didn't look too good, but it was fantastic, it did rain on the day we came home though! The hotel is perfect spotlessly clean and the beds are so comfy. The rooms are cleaned daily with clean towels. We had little gifts for 4 days of our 7 days there. It maybe the norm or a softener for the noise from the hotel being demolished next door which is very noisy although we were told by our rep Boyan that it was stopping end of May and restarting in October. It didnt really bother us but I can understand that the oldies may have got a tad fed up.Hotel has mainly German guests which we felt was annoying as they are loud and tended to take over, us Brits definately in the minority there. My husband and son befriended Marko and staff on the sports front giving them a run for there money with a few games of table tennis.Had a massage which was amazing and a must!

Food we all thought was good a few odd things such as chips and carrotts for breakfast but plenty of normal things to eat...cereals, yoghurts, fruits toast etc.The chef on an evening does an individual salad for you which is so nice!! We were never hungry and if you do get peckish the pastry rooms are there and the lady who runs it is very friendly, as were all the staff. There wasnt much to do around and I dont think I would have gone for 14 days without hiring a car, you need to have foot wear on the beach as the stones are sharp. The sea is crystal clear and yes its cold in May but we went in every day!

We will definately go back and hopefully next year so if you're going May 2008 we will see you there. The best part of the holiday by far was the scenery amazing sunsets got so many photos cant believe its only 2 hours away from England.

Fantastic Hotel - Great location - 10 minute stroll along the front to the town centre or next to the forest which has great paths along the coast with lots of small bars/cafes.

The hotel staff were the best we have ever had - We had flowers and champaign from them as it was our anniversary and also got invited to a special captains table. Boris (that the manager) invites 12 guests for a special lunch and asks what you like about the hotel, what does it need. They really do make an effort here.

Don't go on the trip to the plitvicks lakes - although they were stunning it took 4½ hours each way on the coach!!

Definately go to the top of the church tower in Rovinj - the views are amazing.

We cannot praise this hotel and resort highly enough - would definately go back

had a brilliant stay at hotel eden. bedroom very comfortable and lovely veiw of garden and pool.staff are very friendly and helpful, hotel has just been refurbished and modern and clean.the food was fine but at times a little bland and would of been better if it was kept hotter. lots of different nationalitys mainly russian, german, dutch and italian and brits.

pretty walk to resort along sea wall and marina but no lighting as youtake care. to hotel at night so beware. rovinj is postcard pretty and easy to walk around. the cobbled streets are very slippy so watch out.
we went to the delfin bar next to boat yard on the way in to the resort , a nice welcome and the young waiter always made time for a chat. we took boat trip to porec via the 15 islands, it was ok but a bit boreing on the boat, not much to see except we did go past a nudist beach which made us all wake up for a minute!!!!
great holiday in rovinj, cant fault hotel eden and would highly recomend it
