We wanted a quiet, restful beach holiday which was exactly what we got. If you want a busy, action packed venue then Polis is not for you. The town had plenty of excellent restaurants to chose from. Our favourite was the Arsinhoe (yes we had to read that twice) which is run by Demetri who catches the fish in the morning and then cooks it at night. The Fish Meze is a must. Several people complained about the shale beach but it was quiet, populated by locals, had a nice bar on it and was reached via a Eucalyptus forest - so we spent two happy weeks on it. We would recommend Polis to anyone - even our three teenagers were quite happy without any nightlife.
