The apartment was perfect as a base could not fault it. The hotel itself is very small and friendly. We were a bit disappointed by the food at dinner, not up to the standards you expect from a first choice premier hotel. Lovely pool and well located for the beach which was pleasant and good for swimming as the water got deep slowly. We went in the October half term and had to pay a inflated price for a hotel and resort that was basically closing down around us. Fault rests with first choice not the hotel. Would be an excellent choice if you had primary age children.

Really good hotel. The staff are very friendly and make you feel 'at home' as soon as you arrive. I would recommend this hotel for any age group as every need is catered for. Nissi Beach is a short walk away and easily accessed either via the coastal path or the main road which is lined with shops and restaraunts. Aya Napa is within walking distance as well again via the coastal path or the main road. Other resorts can be visited using the very easy bus service. We would highly recommend this hotel and will no doubt return ourselves.

This is our second time at the Tasia Maris Gardens Apartment and it was just as good as the first time. The whole experience was fabulous and we will be definately returning. The whole complex is spotlessly clean, the rooms are an excellent size, the pool is clean and has a brilliant layout with ample sunbeds. The food was lovely with a wide range of variety for all the family. The staff are so helpful and friendly and a lot of them were there the first time we went. Try it you won't be disappointed. We love it!!!!!

We stayed here 22-29 may with our 6&3yr olds. We had read good reviews for the hotel and we have to say we agree with them all in spades!! The staff were fantastic-with adults&kids alike and nothing was too much for them. The food was fantastic and not repetetive,it catered for everyone-even if there was something you wanted the staff would cook it (including croissants at dinner as 1child wanted). The pool facilities were ideally set up for kids&so parents could keep an eye on them!! Sandy bay beach is 2mins away&is lovely.nissi beach a bit further but fantastic! We wouldn't hesitate to recommend this to friends and family and would go back again.

"Tasia Maris Gardens a Fabulous hotel"

Overall Hotel Rating:

Poor

Open quote

This is a fairly small hotel complex which gives a very personal holiday experience. The hotel staff were excellent, very polite and friendly. The food was amazing and never became repetitive which can so often occur on all inclusives. Although the entertainer (Danny) was a lovely guy there wasn't much entertainment for the kids, it was very laid back. The whole hotel was kept to an exceptionally clean standard at all times. We were very impressed and would definitely reccomend.

"Great Place to stay"

We stayed at this hotel because we had stayed at the Tasia Maris Beach in May and men have to wear long trousers for dinner. The staff from the cleaners to the management are exceptionally friendly. Danny, a lone entertainer, works extremely hard to keep everyone entertained, we did not have children with us but the kids adored him and where he gets his energy from I have no idea but he is a lovely young man. Breakfast and lunch were really good, I am quite fussy with my food but the evening meals were okay (there was some exceptional roast beef on offer) but my husband thoroughly enjoyed the food but like I say I am fussy. The staff are so accommodating and nothing was too much trouble. All in all we had a great time and would return to this hotel. The rooms were exceptionally clean and have to take my hat off to those wonderful women. Then there is Thomas!! Well you have to meet him to believe him but what a lovely man. Would totally recommend this hotel for families, well actually anyone really because we thoroughly enjoyed it and wished we had stayed longer.

"Fabulous"

We stayed at Tasia Maris Gardens 22 Aug to 5 Sep 2012. We had read all the reviews previously and had high expectations, which we are glad to say were fully met. This is a really nice, small (circa 50 apartment), relaxed resort, which is good for couples and families. It is very clean, and the rooms are cleaned every day with linen and towels replaced as well.

The hotel is situated quite central to local shops and Ayia Napa is about a 20 min walk away if you wanted to go out for a walk and do something different (like go to the fair). You do not get any of the nightlife affecting you. There are supermarkets nearby but they do charge more than others that are a 5-10 minute walk away (either direction when you walk out – I would suggest visiting the Plaza Supermarket – take a right out of hotel and 5-10 min walk). Nearby Sandy Bay (5-10 min walk) beach is worthwhile. Its not crowded and you can get a sunbed (2.50 euro’s) and parasol (2.50 euro’s) all day. There are some watersports you can do there as well – jetski, para gliding etc. The sea was lovely and warm and there was a nice breeze to help cool you down, which is something you don’t get at the resort as its quite boxed in.

The hotel staff were great and very helpful. Food was fabulous and there was always a good variety for adults and children. Alcoholic drinks were local and good. The only negative point was that lunch was served outside the air conditioned restaurant, which at times put you off eating as it was very hot (temperature averaged 37-42C). Breakfast 7-10am, Lunch 1-3pm, and Dinner 7-10pm. In between you could have snacks, ice-creams and drinks at pool bar (10-6pm).

First Choice reps were ok. The two girls doing the kids club were great. Danny the entertainer was okay. Evening entertainment was poor really. Danny made a fist of things. Be prepared for the usual bingo, quiz, karaoke and the odd night where they had a parrot show (20 mins) and a magic show. Pity they couldn’t get some other acts.

Sunbeds were plentiful and whilst some guests did get up early and put their towels on their favourite spots, there wasn’t a need to. We were strolling down for breakfast at 9.15am and able to secure beds without issue.

The hotel doesn’t provide pool towels so bring your own. You can rent a safe in the room at 10 euro’s per week, which we did just to be on the safe side. In terms of security we didn’t have any issues but the layout of the complex is open to anyone walking in off the street unchallenged. Wifi access is available for a charge of 3 euro’s for 30 mins or 5 euro’s for an hour. Air Con is only provided to the main bedroom and not the living area (which doubles as a bed area). You have to pay an extra 6 euro’s a night for this. I would suggest you do this when the weather is very hot. The only downside is you cant control the temperature and it does blow very cold. This is the only real negative thing, which First Choice need to fix (along with the evening entertainment).

Overall we loved this holiday and we will definitely go back if we can

"Fantastic Service"

A fantastic holiday! The service was 5* plus - the staff, waiters etc.. could not do enough for you - even in 40 degree heart in the middle of the day. The food was superb - with plenty of choice - We would go back to this place in the future. Swimming pool was great but busy at times with younger children. Not a hotel for just couples though.

"14 nights not enough"

Overall Hotel Rating:

Excellent

Open quote

Travelled with family 2 adults and 2 teenagers 13 & 15.

Danny the hotel entertainer was excellent and put in 110% and kept us all going with the limited facalities he has available (due to not being a large hotel) The first choice rep and kids club reps were excellent as they also got involved in some of the daytime and night time activities which helped to break the ice with a lot of the older kids/teenagers

All the hotel staff were very pleasant from the reception staff to the cleaners and were approachable. The rooms were very comfortable both the bed in bedroom and the beds in the lounge the only negative was the extra charge for the air con in the lounge which while not exspensive could have been included in the price as at this time of year it is needed. No problems with getting sunbeds any time of the day and liked the layout of the pool but this could be a concern if taking younger kids as it is a lagoon style and parts were out of sight

Food was excellent from the breakfast buffet to the snack menu, lunch menu and the dinner buffet. Plus unlimited drinks and icecreams from the poolside bar to the bar at night time.

Entertainment at night was ok due the limited size of the area but dont now where Danny got his energy from to keep on going. It was a bit strange sitting at the front of the hotel by the road but this made sure there was little noise around the appartments.

All in all a very good holiday abd can honestly say that 14 nights was not enough as none of us were ready to come home and a number of other parties said the same.

Although this appears to be more suitable for families with children, as couple we enjoyed it too, as due to the size of resort everyone gets to know each other if they use the pool. We could get a couple of sunbeds at any time of the day and even had a choice. The food was great, especially enjoyed choosing from a menu for lunchtime and there were snacks (still large meals) available all day until 6pm, evening meals had loads of choice and the puddings were fanatastic, don't usually eat pudding on holiday but too good to avoid. Entertainment was a one person event, not in your face but enough to keep you occupied if you wanted to join in, we enjoyed the quizzes which we did at our leisure. The staff were great, we got to know the names of most of them from night porter Thomas to entertainer Danny. The evening entertainment in the bar is enough for such a small hotel, but indoor seating by the bar gets a bit hotel due to the plastic covers on the cushions. Loved people watching as it is on the strip. Would definately go back and take our family with us, which are grown up.
