Paphos itself is full of historical places to visit and loads of nice shops, bars and restaurant. It can be expensive to eat out though so go all inclusive if you get the chance.

the local beach to this hotel despite being about 400m away is unkempt and i wouldn't recommend it - the best beach on this island by far is the one at Latsi which is an hour or so away by car! we travelled across the island to ayia napa limassol etc but all the sandy beaches were a nightmare where you could hardly lay a towel due to the amount of people crowded onto them - even the much acclaimed coral bay was a disappointment! the beaches are definitely not what we are used to when we travel in fact the english beaches of bournemouth and the likes are by far superior to the ones on cyprus! we feel we wasted our money and the precious time we allocated for our summer holiday here - thankfully we are sun worshippers and that is the one thing you cannot take away from cyprus - the sun never ceases to shine!
