My husband and I stayed at this hotel end of August and can honestly say the service was brilliant. The hotel itself is lovely and the rooms very comfortable. We upgraded to a sea view room which I would definitely recommend as worth paying the extra for. The sunbed system works brilliantly and although we never had beds by the pool - we had beds that overlooked the beach/bay so they were just as nice. We had bed and breakfast and you had every option possibly available to eat at breakfast time. Again - the staff were lovely and very welcoming. Definitely could not fault the hotel at all. The location is perfect - about 10/15 minute lovely walk to the harbour. The restaurants close to the hotel are in our opinion the best - Happy Island and Porto Bello in particular serve beautiful food and again the waiters could not do enough for you. Overall - we had a great stay and the only down side was that we only booked for 1 week. Could definitely stay for 2 weeks. My husband and I are under 30 and if you want to go out to clubs/busy bars - this is available but you don't have to walk past it every night if you just want a more relaxing night. The busy bars are again a 5 minute walk from the hotel. We really liked California Bar. Would def go back again.
As above - the resort, hotel and people were all brilliant. Would recommend this for couples and families

Another boring review, cant add much which has not been said , it was Great! All the good has been said, so will have to think of our complaints.Had to ask for hotter tea at breakfast. Tea pots always dribble..... and thats about it!

Time share touts are about , but as I am rude, not a problem. Another 'scam' is the dumb/deaf merchants that place cheap tat near you with a card, suggesting you buy. Good scam , no language problems !! Road outside was not as busy as I had been told, but then again i live within the M25. Favourite restaurants, the one nearest to the castle, also the seagull, again on the front.Edelweiss was also good.
Car hire from Micheals ( across the road... see the english guy any morning) Laundrate close by is good.
Just thought of another problem with the hotel, outside pool was too warm had to use cooler inside pool to swim. Try the free try dive , Debra /jackie ( I then paid for a sea dive with Ross) highlite of hols

I have just returned from a week long break at the Alexander, and can confirm it is a lovely hotel. The Hotel is in a central location, less than 10 minutes walk from the harbour, with nice restuarants and eateries nearby. The Hotel itself is clean and comfortbale, the rooms are spacious and traditional. The balconies are a little small, but will just about allow 2 adults to sit out on them. The terrace and lounge area is lovely, and the 'happy hour' every day between 5:30pm - 6:30pm is an excellent way to sample some of the many cocktails on offer. The pool is clean and the surrounding area is tidy, the sunbed allocation system is perfect and allows you to choose your sunbeds during the first day of your holiday and keep them for the duration of your stay. The maid service is excellent, with clean bath and beach towels left in the room daily and the option to request more if needed. The breakfast is very good, with a wide choice, and is available from 07:00am - 10:30am. There is a bus stop outside the hotel, and the buses are frequent, air-conditioned and clean and cost a flat rate of 1.20 Euro. There is a great mini-shopping centre across the road from the Hotel, which houses a mini-market, pharmacy and hairdressers; to name but a few places. The walk from the Hotel to the Harbour is pleasant, and there are lots of restuarant / cafes on the walk down. Out and about in Paphos I would recommend visiting the harbour, and the old Paphos town for the small daily market. Recommended places to eat include : Agapinor - about 10 minutes walk in the direction of the harbour, and WELL worth a visit. Za Za and Michael's are both vey nice and relatively close to the hotel (turn right, cross the road, then first left) and serve traditional Cypriot cuisine as well as a selection of other dishes. Porto Bella and Romantica are both nice Italian restuarants close to the Hotel, although Porto Bella is only open during the evening. One place to avoid is Atrium - situated directly opposite the Hotel, if you are thinking of going there to eat, don't bother!!!
I enjoyed an excellent break in Paphos, although it is probably not the best place for beach lovers to visit. However, there is plenty to see and do, and the people are all very friendly and helpful. If you are interested in water sports there seems to be p...

the hotel is clean and well run.Sun beds are chosen on your first day and are yours for the holiday at any time with free towels.Rooms with inland view can be noisy especially at weekends.Sea view rooms are superb but a small balcony.Lots of eating places if you prefer B&B including indian chinese greek and english. The restaurant in the hotel is very good but a bit formal with a grand piano playing while you eat. This hotel is as good as it can get for a good relaxing time with lots of bars and restaurants within easy walking distance.
A perfect place to relax and stroll around the town and harbour.Lots of bars and eating places.Visit the roman mosaics , the harbour, aphrodite rock, the market.
