Weather was great throughout the holiday. Hotel was good apart from the hundreds of bugs in my room. Cyprus harbour was nice bar service is terrible recommend the resturants porta Romana and theo's and seagull. Also reccomend the bar Rosatello opposite the avanti hotel service is superb!

Overall Cyprus is overated and it is not likely that I will return again!

We decided to try this brand new hotel after looking at its webpage. The photos dont reveal how wonderful this place is.Very quiet although it is central as it is set way back form the road.Very spacious apartments with everything you imagine. No need to take anything with you. They even offer pool towels for you every day.

The swimming pool is beautiful. Apparently it is the 2nd biggest in cyprus with great waterfalls and a wet bar! Plenty of sunbeds as well. We booked half board when we arrived and had our breakfast and dinner at the avanti hotel next door.That was really worth it.50C for the bus to the harbour and the market both of which are worth visiting.

We are definitely returning to pafos and to the avanti.

We have been returning to the Avanti for the last 6 years. The friendliness of the staff and the beautiful gardens are what attract us. The location is superb as it is within walking distance to everything but at the same time set back from the road and very spacious. Try Crocodile Bar accross the road. Theos Restaurant in the Harbour as well.
Since our last visit all the sun beds and umbrellas have changed and so has a lot of the furniture.

Just returned from a week at the Avanti Hotel and enjoyed every minute. The Avanti is a very impressive hotel the best features being air conditioned rooms, a good size pool with plenty of sun loungers, staff that will serve drinks to you at your sun lounger and the pool bar that you can swim up to. The weather was great alaways in the 90's so came back with a good tan.

The area itself is good with lots of bars and restaurants but one thing it was lacking was a decent beach. There is a rocky beach across the road but its really only good for the watersports not for relaxing on.

We took a walk down to the harbour (about 20 mins) and liked the look of the restaurants overlooking it but were disappointed with the food and the service. The best restaurant was Cavallinos opposite the hotel, you must try it! The food was amazing and the service equally as good, book in advance as it gets busy. Pegasus bar was where we ended up most evenings, good cocktails and sky sports showing the Euro games.

I would definitely recommend the Avanti if you are thinking of going to Paphos, we would definitely go back.

Booked the hotel directly and managed to get a good flight which worked out much cheaper. The hotel was great. Spacious Rooms. Very clean and modern.
Nice gardens and massive pool.Friendly Staff.

You must visit the harbour. It is in walking distance.Worthwhile going inside the castle for a panoramic view of the harbour.Visit the mosaics there and get the bus for the tombs of the kings.

Take a jeep safari to Akamas. Its a beutiful area.They drive you through the villages and you have cypriot food for lunch.Good fun!

There are many restaurants around the hotel.We only tried the cavallini as we were on Half Board. Restaurants are quite pricy so that was a good option. The Hotel had theme nights and the food was delicious.

We decided to try visiting Pafos in April and we were thrilled. The beautiful weather allowed us to even use the hotel's swimming pool on several occasions.
The Hotel:
I dont agree with some of the comments as we found the hotel was very well kept. The sunbeds must have been brand new and there was plenty of space around the pool and a very nice terrace for breakfast and lunch. The poolbar was fun as you could actuallly swim up and get a drink but the water was a bit too cold to stay in the water for too long!
Rooms spacious and clean.

Restaurants:
Try Cavallini Restaurant accross the road and Rimini Italian Reastaurant on the other side.
Pafos is definitely worthwhile and we will be returning hopefully this summer.
We would recommend this hotel for its location and all the facilities that it offers. Oh and of course the lovely pool!

My husband and I just got back from a lovely holiday in Pafos. The weather was fantastic. Sunshine throughout our holiday.
The Avanti hotel was recommended by our travelagent. We can not fault it in any way. Its location is great as it is in walking distance from the harbour and there are many shops, restaurants and bars in the area. The staff were extreemly helpful and very friendly.
We will definitely go back.
