The best thing about this hotel though was the pub just outside the hotel grounds - The Western Star Music Bar - do yourselves a favour and pop in and meet the fantastic couple running this place, Mark and Christine. There's a second to non atmosphere here with entertainment every night, fantastic food, plenty to keep the kids happy and a fantastic pint of cold Carling as well as local beers, bitter, guiness, cocktails etc. Laughs guaranteed for all. They make you feel so welcome and we had a number of great nights here and were within a minutes walk from home. Will definately go back to the Polycarpia one day and DEFINATELY will go back to the Western Star. Keep up the great work guys.

Protaras is lively lots of shops, bars & restraunts, we went out a few times for a few drinks & a walk round the shops, we never got any mither walking past any shops or restraunts to go in & buy anything, i did'nt think it was that expensive a pint of beer 2 euro & we saw boards outside restraunts 6 euro for a meal 3 euro 50 for a full english breakfast we did,nt dine out so can't comment on what the food was like we were all inc. The beach is lovely & plenty of sunbeds with umberellas. All in all Protaras is a really nice place & for people with families.

Lovely resort. Nice restraunts. We reccomend to eat in the Anatolia! Nice things to see and do. Parasailing, Boat trips alot more too. Lovely hotels. Beachs lovely (especially Fig tree bay) Great resort.

Lovely resort lots to do for all ages. Lots of nice restaurants within walking distance. The Sprinx bar has lots of acts on, Madonna was good!!

I have been travelling to Protaras for 10 years and keep returning, they must be doing something right :-)

Protaras has changed since we started visiting in 2002, its now based at kids and greek kids, its not the family resort it used to be. Fig tree bay is also now dirty, which is a sad shame as it used to be gorgous.

Very busy resort lots of shops and restaurants but is good for all the family and it even has a mcdonalds

This was our 5th time in Cyprus and we find the prices for food and drink a lot cheaper than on our previous visits.

Lovely resort and definatley go back. All the staff in restraunts are nice and polite and friendly. The beach was great. All the shops were good. All the staff in the places I visited could understand you and were friendly and lovely. I would reccomend to every one. There is something for everyone in Potaros.

excellent place to be safe for all ages with lovely beaches and great restaurants would recomend for all ages just dont expect to be paying spanish prices it is expensive but you definately get what you pay for

Pernera is a great resort for families as it has quite a few bars and restaurants and some great beaches. It is fairly quiet although Protaras is only a 20 minute walk away. There is a really nice coastal path between the resorts and if attempting the walk during the day there are plenty of cafes if you need a pit stop.

Didn't venture out this holiday as done all the tourist bits last time. The resort is very busy being only really one long street with one way traffic. All the bars are pretty much the same so worth checking them all out for different acts etc going on.

was ok once you got there we did have a good time the kids reps were lovely and the entertainment reps worked very very hard no problems with them at all infact all the staff there were lovely it all just needs a bit of tlc

Pernera is small and quiet so if want clubbing go to Ayia Napa!!!,if you want a good sized resort with plenty of bars etc try Protaras,if you do go to Protaras visit the dancing waters show at night but beware, dont sit at the front unless your wearing a bikini or your speedos!!!!???.

Protaras is a nice resort. The beach is fantastic, lovely and sandy. Plenty of good shops and bars to wonder round in the evening. Food is generally very good, really hot weather. It was a good choice.
