Protaras is the best resort ive stayed in but not in December. The beechs are lovely, and the people are so friendly.

Protaras is lovely for families with young children but not for youngsters seeking party lifestyle ! we loved protaras lots of reasturansts pubs, bars, we did find that it is cheaper to eat in the pubs than reasturants alot cheaper ! beaches are lovely take a visit to aiya napa for abit more night life !

Something for everyone, you could get bored of it if you were here for 2 weeks. Plenty of pubs & places to eat.

Protaras has cash machine/banks, excursion shops, mini/super markets, mini golf, shops, restaurant/bars with varied entertainment all within easy reach and plentiful. Opposite the hotel across the one way street is a road leading down to the beaches! Its only a short walk away to both Protaras main beach and Fig Tree bay. Both have plenty of sunbeds costing between 2.50-4euros each with lots of water-sports to choose from in the clear & calm sea.

Overall I was satisfied with what Protaras had to offer although not an authentic Cypriot town but caters very well to tourists demands.

P.S – If you take a trip to Famagusta AKA Ghost Town please note that taking pictures of the town is forbidden, much to my disappointment! However a trip to Cape Greco is well worth a visit, just to swim in the deep, calm, turquoise sea.

Really enjoyed my first trip to prortaras even though it is a purpose built resort, taking my 2 grandaughters aged 22 and 10 years seemed very brave to most of my friends but it worked well for us ,would go back again as a family holiday but to a better hotel.

Beaches here are fabulous. Lovely walk from one town to another along coast. Nice strip of shops and restaurants. Quiet and peaceful.

We like Protaras, this is our third visit. The beach is very nice and the weather is always great. You can get whatever food you want, though we like the traditional Cypriot tavernas.

Small resort, centred around one or two main 'strips' - although enough to keep you happy for most things. Heard the trip to Famagusta (The Ghost Town) is worth it (bus not boat though as the boat never gets close enough to see much)

Pernera is just 15 mins walk from Protaras. There are plenty of pubs and places to eat. I think it's a lot nicer than Protaras, it's certainly quieter.

great location with the station bar right across the road and only fools and horses bar round the corner. plus about 5 minutes walk there is a chinease restaurant really work a visit with excellent food.

Protaras is a great resort, there is plenty to do. We went at the end of October and there was still plenty open, and there are quite a few local shops as well. The beach is lovely, and we had fantastic weather.

Panera is a beautiful quiet resort, good location for getting out and about. The Beaches are glorious so are the views. Protaras is only a 20 minute walk from Panera along the newly finished coastal walk way with breath taking views by day or night.

The resort of Protaras is absolutaly fantastic as it has much to offer from a large variety of shops bars and restaurants something for everyone and the best part of it it only takes on avaerage 20 mins one end to the other! you have the choice to walk in to the sister resort of penera which is again approx 20 min walk down the walk lit up brand new coastal walk way. to reach other resorts such as ayia napa or the local town its a short bus or taxi journey.

The resort itself is I think the best in Cyprus. There is plenty of bars and restaurants. A visit to Fig Tree Bay and Pernea Bay is a must. We climbed up to Elios church hard work but work in the long run. The view is spectacular.

Protaras is a nice town, some really good shops there. The beach is so beautiful! We did eat out once, but we had half board at the hotel so didn't eat out any more. Really good holiday.
