"Why this hotel is bad?"

Overall Hotel Rating:

Poor

Open quote

First impressions were we had walked in our room and had found pubes on our bedsheets, and poo stains under the coversheet this is totally outrageous. we had then went to unpack our suitcases and the cupboard doors were nearly falling off plus we had like 1 hanger for our clothes! Looking at the outside of the hotel when we had entered the pool the tiles were falling off also you better watch out for the pedo plumber and the cleaner is a thief. overall if you are looking for a terrible hotel stay here!

"AMAZING ANDREOTIS APTS"

Overall Hotel Rating:

Excellent

Open quote

This is our third time to the Andreotis Apartments over a period of five years. The hotel offers a warmth you don't really receive in any other hotel. The reception and hotel staff are very friendly. The rooms are comfortable and have good bedrooms in the apartments. However what really makes this hotel is the lovely people who own the restuarant and pool side bar Tassos and Paula and their staff Eric, Denny (don't forget your coaster for your drinks), Jane(she makes the best ice cream milk shakes as voted by our children), Sophie (does a mean Day at the Pool cocktail) and Jade. The menu at the restuarant is varied and excellent value for money... especially if you get one of the daily specials for about 6 or 7 euros. The portion sizes are massive. Can highly recommend the El Greco for 9 euros (not for the faint hearted). It has good entertainment on a couple of nights a week, there are pool tables and a mini games room for kids. If you arrive late at the hotel and need water and milk, Tassos sells large bottles of water and milk so you don't have to wander for a supermarket. The pool area has parasols and enough sun lounges for all. Good pool atmosphere. Whilst taking a holiday at the Andreotis we can suggest trying the Cypriot Restuarant left of the hotel. This is also good value for money and excellent food, check out the set menus.(NOT DIVA'S).

"First Class Holiday"

Overall Hotel Rating:

Excellent

Open quote

I was worried when I read previous reviews, but all I can say is that we had a first class holiday here. Tasos and his wife Paula were welcoming, and his staff in the restaurant, Jade, Denny, Sophie and Tania along with Jane who ran the pool bar worked very hard on behalf of the customers. The food is excellent quality and quantity, with a wide range of dishes on offer. There are dailyl specials, look for the fish & chips on Friday! It should be pointed out that Tasos only runs the bar/restaurant, not the accomodation, but the group that run that are also good, with regular maid service. We have been 10 times to Cyprus, 8 of them to Protaras, but this was the first time at Andreotis. It won't be the last, I ca recommend it to anyone.

"Very nice apartment"

Overall Hotel Rating:

Excellent

Open quote

The hotel was very clean, our room was quite small but as we only paid for a studio and got a 1 bedroom it was fine. The staff were friendly and helpful and our cleaner was great when we accidently flooded the bathroom (easily done as shower is very small and the water tray inadequate) The pool area was very nice with sun beds always available, there is a good bar that serves lovely food at very reasonable prices. The hotel is on a main road, as our apartment faced out the back there wasn't any noise. It was a short walk to Protaras 'strip' (about 2 mins) and we were at the beach in 5 mins. There is a mini-market opposite and another within 200 metres. The hotel is exclusive to Thomas Cook and one thing we found very annoying was the reps! The one who took us on our transfer from Larnaca was just unspeakable, the first resort rep was extremely bossy and thought a lot of herself and the next one just ignored us! They spent the whole time demanding to be rated 'excellent' on our review forms... needless to say we didnt! We booked excursions to Famagusta and Nicosia which were both excellent and well worth seeing. In hindsight we should have booked them in the resort shops as a lot cheaper and the reps just book you on the same buses anyway. We travelled over half term and found suprisingly few children! This changed half way through the week when families from Ireland arrived and allowed their kids to run screaming around the hotel in the middle of the night. When we complained the hotel were very good at sorting it out. We had a fab holiday and would definitely stay at Andreotis again.

"Protaras Holiday"

Overall Hotel Rating:

these apts are in a good location but spoilt by the rules of the owner, you are not allowed to bring or buy drinks bottled water or ice creams from the on site shop to consume by the pool, He or his staff come round freqently to check. when you first arrive he comes across as very friendly, and most lightly remains so providing you are buying all your drinks and meals etc from him, the on site shop seems to be run seperately. A nice holiday spoilt by greedy owner and his wife. We have holidayed in Protaras many times and go back once or twice a year, but we will not be going back to these apts again.

Just been here for a week with mixed age group party of five women age range 21 - 55. Brilliant site small and cozy. The staff were very wecoming, nothing was too much trouble and they worked extremely hard to make everyone's stay a good one. Tasos, the resturant bar owner, is a legend. It's true, he does remember everyone's name. The weather was great the pool ovely and clean. The whole site was spotless. Jane and Tanya is the pool bar were lovely very friendly and helpful. We all had a great time and can't wait to go back

we asked for hot water in our room, we got it the day before we left, we asked for extra pillows, we are still waiting. we asked and emailed reception through out travel agent, something special in room for honeymoon couple, eg flowers, wine etc. NOTHING. the receptionist could not care less for the comfort of the guests, we have stayed there 5 times, always very good, but this time they messed up our rooms then it all went downhill from there. we told them that was the last we would not be back and there were 12 of us. the bar as always was excellent could not do enough for you. Pity the apt staff were not like tasos and george.

"Clean, welcoming and good location"

Overall Hotel Rating:

Very Good

Open quote

The Andreotis is a very clean and welcoming set of self-catering apartments based around a central pool. The staff are very helpful and you have to meet Tasos, the bar manager who knows everyones name and never forgets it either!! The apartments are within a very easy 5 minute walk of the main centre and restaurants of Protaras, but it is also very quiet. The pool is clean but very deep in places, so not ideal for very little ones. There is a toddler pool, but with no sunshades nearby. The on-site shop sells everything you need and is well priced compared to other supermarkets. The food from the bar is great. Huge portions (fab chips!!) and extensive choice. Good job there was aircon in the room, although would have preferred 2 units instead of one. I would definitely recommend this resort

"Great Place"

Overall Hotel Rating:

Excellent

Arrived after a long coach trip from the airport. Apparently the Protaras bus was full and we were put on the Aya Napa bus. So the Andreotis holidaymakers were last off. It took over 2 hours with all the drop offs. But it was Worth it. This is our second time of visiting the Andreotis. The apartments are clean and airy. Be warned if you only have a shower. They are small and slippery. We have always walked to the centre of the resort for our evening meal, but one night we decided to have a meal at the bar/restaurent. It was great. The food was very good and reasonably priced. Who needs cotton tablecloths and fancy table settings when the food is as good as this. Tassos and his staff are very friendly and make you feel very welcome. Reception staff are very friendly and helpful as well. We went the first week in October so getting a sunbed was no problem but I would imagine at peak times it could be a problem. The pool is great. All in all I can thoroughly receommend the Andreotis.

"Fantastic AGAIN!!"

Overall Hotel Rating:

Excellent

Open quote

After the 7th visit to the Andreotis all i can say is Fantastic. The rooms were as spotless as ever. The bar was quite busy at times even so Tasos and George made you feel so very welcome as usual.

The pool area was a NIGHTMARE this year. I know sunbeds are a BIG problem here, well lack of after 7.45am it seems everybody got up really early ( fair enough ) for a bed but for god sake stay on them. The beds all had towels on and everyboby seemed to have back off to bed. Unfair if you get up and can't get one to LIE on!!! Lucky enough the 2nd week of our stay wasnt as bad.

The hotel staff were great again from the cleaners to Carman on reception, she was great.

"Shame about the weather"

Overall Hotel Rating:

Good

Open quote

When we arrived here at the Andreotis we were a bit worried as it doent look to inviting from the outside but inside is everything you need.

Our room was very spacious and balcony area was huge. The pool is excellent and a good size, the bar was good and had a large screen to keep up with the all important football results.

The only problem we had in our week away was 5 of the 7 days it was none stop raining which ruined our holiday but of course that is no fault of the hotel at all.

"Hotel Info"

Overall Hotel Rating:

Apart from the huge number of kids (I'm not a child hater, just a childless person who likes to holiday out of season) the hotel was perfect. The pool was fantastic - very picturesque. Our room was huge, we had a sea view (albeit a sea view with a view of the main road but its worth it!!). Could have done with being cleaned a bit more but maids were adequete enough.

All the staff were super. Joy, Yvonne and Elena were great as was Tassos but George is the man!!! It was our pleasure to meet him and he made us feel truly welcome....

Food was also great at the hotel bar - in fact we ate there most nights as the food was better and cheaper than on the main strip. They have 1 English chef and 1 Cypriot so try some local food you wont be disappointed (plus they also do homemade pasta and pizza's which are lovely too!) We tried loads of dishes and never had a bad meal.....
