"U Karlova Mostu review"
Overall Hotel Rating:
Prague is magnificent - read all the other reviews and you'll find everyone agrees.
We chose this hotel, which is right beneath Charles Bridge on Kampa Island, as it's very central. It was largely underwater in the 2002 floods but is as good as new again now. The rooms are large and well-appointed - we had 2 in the attic with beams and rooflights and a river view. The hotel has two good value Pubs and a beer garden which opens onto the river just where the boat trips start. The front of the hotel is in the pretty square you can see beneath the Charles Bridge as you walk towards the Lesser Quarter. There are steps directly into the square. Staying right in the heart of Prague lets you see the city when it's quiet, before and after the tour groups materialise. It's less busy that side of the river, so if you need some night life you have to stroll back into the Old Town where there's plenty.
We could thoroughly recommend U Karlova Mostu.
