First time in Egypt, and really liked it. Really hot and sunny weather which is a real bonus! The town was nice enough, plenty of bars to keep us entertained and bought back some decent gifts!

Third time in Egypt, first in Hurghada. Think overall we preferred it to Sharm el Sheikh. The beach is lovely, and the choice of watersports is good.

The resort of Hurghada leaves a lot to be desired. Its basically a haven for rip off merchants to "do their thing" and try to extract money from you any way they can. You are constantly hassled by men in the street and shop keepers. The Taxi drivers will rob you and steal from you at any opportunity they can. The resort is old and dusty and very dull. Make sure you book in to a high standard complex so you dont have to leave it during the holiday. Good point was the weather!! The tour operator Hotels4U are also rip off merchants as they didnt arrange out transfer back to the airport and told us to get a cab!! I dont think its a reflection on Hotels4U I think its typical of Egyptian mentality. You have been warned... Go somewhere else instead and save yourself the grief.

Luxor is not really a resort, more of a city, we visited the temples of Luxor and Karnak at night which was a better time to see it, amazing to see how much they have uncovered since we were there two years ago, again the best place to see the treasures is the Luxor Museum a must, try a give it a couple of hours as you will also see some of Tuthankarmuns furniture which looks like it was made yesterday by Ikea.

A perfect winter sun "fly flop and fry" resort. Great snorkelling (at Sharks Bay at least which is where I stayed) Soho Square (also at Sharks Bay) is a vast new resort-style shopping and entertainment centre with ice rink, bowling, restaurants, bars etc - good if you stay in a hotel close by and can't be bothered with "the real Egypt". Also probably good if you have children as there is a fair bit of entertainment. Other considerations with Egypt also has to be the upset stomach which seems to be almost inevitable even in 5 star hotels - for some people this might be enough to ruin a holiday, for others just a minor inconvenience.

Sharm el sheikh itself is nice.Ate out of the first 2 days of holiday due to stomach upset.did not enjoy this to be honest and would not go back.

resort area good. lots of green trees & hills. lagoons for birdlife. road around resort o.k further not so good. would not recommend triop to Santiago de Cuba as its a long and very bad roads indeed. takes 3rd but only because driver has to speed. which makes the bumps worse. Not so interesting when one gets there. But we had been to Havana so its not as good.

Egypt was really hot. Never been before but loved it. You need a lot of suncream or you will burn like my boyfriend! I reckon we will go back but wanna be there now!!

Lovely resort, brilliant beach and loads to do. It is quite lively which does suit us really. Lots of bars, and some decent restaurants. Lovely and hot too!

We were in Nabq bay. There wasnt much to do in the resort centre but this didnt bother us as we had booked excursions and didnt mind staying in the hotel as it was that big to go round. A week wasnt long enough. Booking to go back twice next year.

Excellent resort! Lovely hot weather, perfect for Christmas. There is a lot to do in the resort, and lots of good bars. That is the real way to spend Christmas. Think we will come back next year!

We were on an all inclusive so can't comment on cost of food/drink etc, and the only time we ventured off the complex was to go quad biking (which is a must) and an evening visit to Naama Bay.

We stayed in a part of Sharm called Nabq Bay. The water there is really warm, lovely! We went into the desert on a camel too, great experience! Can't wait to go back in April (booked already!!)
