Hurghada is a much better resort than Sharm for couples who want to relax and not be bothered.

We had to book this at the last minute due to our holiday to Cuba being cancelled due to the hurricanes, so we were a little worried that it would not be to a good standard, oh how wrong we could be. The hotel is only 18 months old and we really struggled t...

All of the above is based on the Hotel as we never ventured out except to go to the Water Park. High cost, low quality. We had booked a glass bottom boat trip but Momo, the salesman, would not tell us which boat, to allow us to see it in the harbour, so we cancelled. He was not a happy Momo! The kids had Henna tattoos and these were redone a day before we left. Makadi shoppoing cntre is limited and once you have seen one camel, pyamid and botle shop you had seen them all. Howeverwe wanted Red Sea and sunshine and we got it every day. The hotel had enough sun beds for everyone and there was plenty of space.

We stayed at Sunrise Roayal 19th Sept - 3rd October 2008. We were a party of ten with four seniors, and a family of 6 with children aged 16, 14, 10 & 9. We had a wonderful time. Despite an initial mix up on rooms, the Thomas Cook rep, Vanessa and the manage...

"Not bad, but Sharm is much better!"

Overall Hurghada isn't a patch on Sharm, too spread out and much dirtier than expected. Visit Sharm for a wide choice of bars and restaurants!

On entry to the hotel it was disappointing, small and dated reception area and nothing like what we expected.

My partner was ill for 3 days and...
