We spent two weeks in dreams beach resort in August this year and were very dissapointed. The hotel was not by any means a 5 star the food was poor and they did not cater for children. If you wanted a decent meal you had to pay.The Thomas Cook rep Gemma was a disgrace to Thomas Cook and she need to go on a customer services course as she was exceptionally rude and was not helpful in any way.I thought that your rep was supposed to be there for you !!!!.We all had the tummy upset and could not put our finger on what was causing it.The rooms were very small and the beds that my children had to sleep on were frankly no better than planks (which were dropping to bits)with a very thin mattress on. THe staff from the hotel were Very friendly and are paid a pittance for what they have to do. Word of warning if you become ill while you are there do not tell the doctor you need a sick note for the insurance as they will charge you whatever the heck they want We were charged £50.00............ To sum it up .We would go back to Sharm but would research it better next time as the weather was amasing and the marine life is out of this world .But i would not go back to dreams beach and I would not go with Thomas Cook again!! 3/10

…you crammed us on a flight with Astraeus. Almost six hours on a stinking wreck of a plane without any inflight entertainment whatsoever!!

You obviously do not care much about guests because of the appalling lack of water on this ‘all inclusive’ site. We got a bottle each on our first night. After that we were expected to fill up our bottles at water fountains. What kind of all inclusive service do you call that from a ‘five star’ hotel? On top of that, you advertise the room as having a minibar. An all-inclusive hotel with a minibar should mean that it is stocked. This one had water in it for one night and that was it!!!! Therefore it is called a ‘fridge’ and not a minibar.

The air conditioning made everybody ill. After flu-like symptoms for 2 nights we found that turning off the aircon cured it after a couple of days! Legionnaires disease, here we come!

My wife and I are lucky enough to have been to several officially rated five star hotels. For the all-important food and service, this place should get a 3T because it is ever so slightly rubbish. Here are a couple of examples:

Every meal time we had to clear our own plates from the table and put them onto a neighbouring table. Otherwise they would not get cleared.

We all decided to stick to vodka and cola and ordering that was a challenge. None of the fancy cocktails here…not even a cocktail list! The bar tenders did not have a clue and the service was invariably slow with no ‘to the table’ drinks.

There is plenty of staff to ensure a good level service…but half of them do not work. The blue shirts just sit by the bar and do nothing and the white shirts supervise the blue shirts…and do nothing! n.b. they do not like it if somebody asks them to get a drink!!

The food was a choice of either bbq, bbq or bbq in various guises. And it was all pretty much rank. Oh, you also had to queue up for water for the table!! Classy place this one.

Our rep, Mr personality of the year 2007, tried to mitigate. He almost made me feel guilty for complaining!

Naturally we could not wait to get home. As we boarded the transfer coach we were comparing notes with other disappointed guests. The Atrocious plane had broken down (wonder it managed to fly in the first place) and we were delayed for a day!

we've just returned from a two week trip, firstly the weather was in the middle to late 40's every day with it being about 35-38 during the evening.

we flew with Thomas Cook and to be honest it was a disgrace, the rep Gemma i feel needs to go to charm school, we booked and paid £2600 for two adults, one child and one infant for a family room, when we arrived we found the majority of the furntiture on the 6ft by 2ft balcony, we had three single beds with cot crammed into the space, due to their being no furniture the phone was placed in between two pillows.. when i complained i was told to lump it or go home - as you can imagin a complaint will be following..

the staff are nice and very willing to please, the news paper guy really annoyed me trying to get £4 for a 30p news paper, the food is bland and if you want anything decent you have to pay, if you want fresh orange you have to pay.

you constantly get bothered by people trying to see you trips, massages, henna tattoos and have your hair cut - if you take the do not disturb sign from your room and place it next to your bed they will leave you alone.

this hotel is a 3 star maximum...even if you go to the sister hotel next door this is onl a 4 star but a lot better..

if you have a choice please dont use this hotel as you'll be dissapointed i promise you....as for gemma - she is just a disgrace and not fit to wear the uniform of Thomas Cook...this may sound harsh but having travelled all over the world before she has been the worst by far, everyone you speak to complains so it cant just be me.....you have been warned

just spent the most relaxing two weeks at the fayrouze plaza, all the staff were excellent, mahmood the food and drinks director, took really good care of us,bottles of wine at night with his compliments, the food was very good, plenty for everyone,(you'd never starve). rooms were cleaned every day, fresh linen and towels every day, delphine the guest relations director was very nice and very helpful,we did'nt have to bother her too much, only when our mini bar packed up after a day and a half trying to get a replacement, delphine sorted it in a matter of two hours, all in all a really nice hotel, would deffinetly consider going back. andy/faye greaves.

This place was a total shambles - the food was sparse and badly cooked; live vermin exercised daily in the dining room; the chef got sacked and the food generally condemned following a surprise visit from the travel company's area manager; the pool used the wrong chemicals and was closed by a travel rep; the staff were rude and surly; the facilities in the room such as the air con, shower and toilet either didn't work or were awful. We got moved eight days into the holiday to a much better hotel. We won't be going back to the Cinderella Beach.

Overall we had a good time I wouldn't say there was anything wrong with the hotel it was just in my opinion rated too high. Only one main restaurant, buffet style the food was very repetitive and not a great variety in choice, you need to remember that 75% of the guests at the hotel are Italian so they cater more for them. You get one night at what they call the Italian restaurant what doesn't serve Italian food . You get a six course meal which was excellent and it was a shame. Animation Team I was surprised to see there were two teams, 1 for the Italians and 1 for International guests. The Italian team won’t really speak to other nationality guests if they can help it and can be very self centred and rude. But the International team are great, if you are willing to join in the fun then they will help in anyway they can. Momo, Cobra, Angelina are the main 3 but there are another 3 about who you see more at night. The Italian team seem to run the music system around the pool they only have 3 CD's and you seem to hear the same things everyday. They work from 10am - 1pm and 4pm until whenever so they all do long hours. The night entertainment you need to take with a pinch of salt, remember they are not professional but they give it all they have if your expectations aren't high The pool area is excellent the large pool could fit about 1000 people in. There is also a diving pool that you can swim in which is 10ft deep; there is also a kid’s pool with a water slide and then an additional water slide which is quite a good laugh for something to do. The beach is very stony, you can't really walk on it without footwear. You can snorkel of the jetty but the sea can get very rough and you need to be a confident swimmer if you go out on a red flag. We didn’t have a green flag for our two-week it was either amber or red the whole time which shows how rough it can be. We booked this hotel because it had a SCUBA centre. Although Italian all the staff were top always helpful and spoke good English, I dived some amazing sites and enjoyed every dive. the cost worked out at £250 for 10 dives (own gear) which you can do 2 morning or 1 afternoon dives so still leaving time to laze by the pool. Gigi and Alberto were really friendly and even when you weren't diving came around the pool and spoke to you. We met some really nice people that I hope we keep in touch with, shout out to Mark and Hazel and Dave and family. You made our holiday a real good laugh.

i stayed at the flamenco beach resort for 2weeks and loved it, the weather was so hot. the hotle is very basic but clean the pools are a decent size with plenty of sun beds to go around. the hotle has its own beach and the sea is so clear its loving you can see so many different fish's. the people who work at the resort make you feel so welcome, there is a team of animation which are there for the kids, there is many things to do during the day of you wish to they do water polo, football, darts, water gym, volley ball but if you wish to just relax there fine with that and dont try to push you into something you dont want to. me and my partner are planning to go again next year we loved it that much. its a great palce for familys or even young couples. i spoke to 1 couple and it was there 3 year and the hotel, they were both in there 50's so the hotel suits all ages.
