great again fourth time their, but the sunbed reserving was a joke you had to get up at 6am just to get a bed.

This hotel was a massive disappointment to me and my family. It appears to be in need of a complete overhaul. The pool areas, although large, were in an unbelievably poor state. The edging around both pools was coming away in a large number of places and in some cases had been stuck back in with nails ! This is clearly a safety risk as the nails were rusting and falling out back into the pool. There was scum in both pools on a number of occasions and this was first thing in the morning when nobody had been in them ! The areas surrounding the pool were all a type of gravel concrete that was well worn and therefore very uncomfortable to walk on and also got very hot in the heat, one child burnt his feet quite badly when we were there. The service at the hotel was also very poor. This was not really down to the staff themselves but the actual lack of them. The same staff that worked at the pool bars during the day would then turn up in the restaurant and lobby bars in the evenings. There was also always only 1 person serving at every bar, which meant long queues for drinks nearly every time you went for one. Waiter service was not readily available either unless it was very clear you were going to tip a lot ! Around the hotel numerous lights were hanging out of their sockets and some with no light s in had wires hanging out with the ends taped up. The room was cleaned on a daily basis but not to a very high standard. The bathroom was also very old and tired with a lot of grouting coming away and the hairdryer that was attached to the wall was loose and again wires could be seen behind it. The entertainment was to a half decent standard but we stayed for 11 nights and after night 7 we were treated to what we had already seen the previous week, I have never been to a hotel that doesn’t do the entertainment on a two week cycle. To finish it off we were invited to a ‘Leaving Party’ by First Choice in one of the bars where the hotel management and your first choice rep would share a drink with you and discuss your feedback. Some party ,No hotel management were present, no drinks were given and basically the first choice rep just told us what time our bus would pick us up on the day we were leaving and of course to make sure we gave her a 5 star rating. A meeting that we thought would be interesting and last at least half an hour was over well within 5 minutes ! On a positive note, Sharm el Sheikh is a great place and the weather was fantastic.

this was the best holiday we have ever had we are a young couple, this hotel is good for all ages. we go on holliday twice a year a we will be going back again and again. The staff were brilliant we were looked after very well. The animation crew took us out and looked after us all night so we had know one bothering us we love this hotel. If you are a young couple and get a chance to go out with the animation crew its a must the friday night at planet hollywood all inclucive was great. Pacha with kimo and shaddow the local break dancers was a brilliant night.

I have just returned for the Coral Sea Rsort Hotel Sharm Eygpt. The hoilday its self was ok although the entertainmetnt was poor and the food was all not that great all chicken dishes were on the bone.

Spent a full day in bed with food poisioning which we put down to the BBQ as my son was the same, my wife and younger daughter had not eaten it.

We up eating soup for the second week as could not face eating any meat.

The kids pool is great for removing hard skin it is rough concrete althiugh the rest of the pool was covered with a liner and this area is not? The soles of my little girls feet are all cut.

Kids entertainment apart from the kids club not run by First Choice the room was dirty the mats need replaced.

The area looked very tired and was stuck in a corner of the hotel and of course there was the kids Disco 8pm til 9pm but the same thing every night you could set your watch by the song being played although the girls that run it are great but all the equipment is what has been left by guests.

Adult day time entertainment was ok Water Polo, Beach VollyBall and French Bowls along with Water Aerobics and Killer Pool but they are all on at the same time between 11am and midday.

Ok the worst part if you are flying from Edinburgh DON'T! the flight is not First Choice or Thompson Air.It is Lotus Air?????

The plane is Old ( Very Old) its the food it bad. One and half hour before you get anything to drink and in that it is soft drink only and you only get one through the whole flight when in the advert on TV they say your holiday starts as soon as you leave the home????yes but it stops at Edinburgh Airport when you board the plane.

We stay in Perthshire and could have flown from Glasgow but was advised by the rep Edin was better and a daytime flight also.

Then there is the staff don't check the seats are up or belts are fastened they are more interested in flirting and touching each others hair.

There is no entertainment which is wrong for a flight of 5 and half hours which is the norm from Glasgow and they agent or First Choice will not inform you of this.

Then if you book in December like I did and your reciept says 20kg then when you get the tickets and the only way you find out is by searching in the booket because they dont tell you that it is reduced to 15 kg although written in black and white and on there web page.

It is rip off and First Choice are charging the same money as if you are flying from any other airport.

I would have been better booking this myself hotel and Flights through budget airline because First Choice had no part in my hoilday at all apart from taking money for trips that are half the price elsewhere.

I will never use First Choice again for me they are now the LAST CHOICE!!!!!

This was a lovely hotel with fantastic pools. Right on the amazing beach. Lovely food in several different restaurants. The staff were all nice and helpful.

Stayed in Coral Sea for one week in beginning of june had a lovley time, hotel staff were very nice and a great laugh, hotel spa staff were very pushy trying to sell treatments which was slighly annoying, room was always cleaned daily fresh bedding and towles, only moan i would have is the room we had was booked as a double room and the one we was given was a twin room. also we had problems with beetles and grass hoppers in the room at night, we phoned reception and asked for assistance and no one turned up. for a 5 star resort it though this was very poor. entertainment team was great especially kimo. entertainment at night for a young cuople was not great but entertainment team tried there best. would defo return to coral sea but would take alot more spending money to get out hotel more and have a bite to eat as hotel food was ok not much choice. did enjoy hotel but heat in june was a killer. first choice reps in hotel were great, very helpful.

When staying at the coral sea resort, i enjoyed myself fully even though i am in my teens. the staff at the hotel are brilliant, and entertaining. im now persuading my boyfriend to come with me again, because i enjoyed myself soo much.

ONE MAJOR COMPLAINT - KIDS CLUB LOST ONE OF MY CHILDREN! We had left both of our boys (4 and 2yrs) in the morning for a 2hr play session. The 2 year old was left unsupervised and managed to leave the facility unnoticed. He was missing for around 15 mins and was found at the side of a pool by a British couple. If you are a parent, you can understand my horror and continued worry of what may have happened should he have taken a wrong turn or have been found by someone less trusting. I am still reeling about this!

Although one of the staff 'Nina' is a natural with children on the whole the facilities are not great. Both staff work 6 days a week and on the 7th day they rota 1 person off, this person is not replaced, leaving only 1 member of staff caring for children.

Although 'Kids Club' is shown as part of the resources at the hotel, this facility is not directly run or assessed by First Choice on site, so leave your children at your own risk!

A FEW MINOR ONES... ROOMS: Good overall standard of accommodation...rooms are kept spotless, however they are showing their age, could have done with a sofa to sit on.

Rooms have a mini bar, but you have to pay and the prices are scary...for an all inclusive resort, this seems very strange.

STAFF: Friendly and can't do enough for you. Food is fresh and of a good standard and a broad variety at all mealtimes, but there could be more fresh whole fruits supplied.

DRINKS: Good measures on all alcohol, could be more on offer for children. However, on 4 separate occasions I was served water out of a Vodka bottle, I did get replacement drinks, but this is no acceptable practice...This was reported to the holiday reps.

ENTERTAINMENT: The 'cold pool' has a very strange surface at the shallow end which left me with cuts on both big toes. Good pool side entertainment. Kids disco every night, but adult entertainment wasn't that inspiring. Paid for the Egyptian night having been sold Dancing horses and tribal women making bread...neither turned up. Watch the camel guy...given the chance, he will overcharge you!

A great holiday just what we needed couldnt fault anything, maybe we are easily pleased! The hotel and grounds were just like in the brochure, the rooms were spacious with a great view, cleaned everyday by a smiling & happy muhammed who couldnt do enough for us! All the staff were very friendly smiley & helpful they show us brits how customer service should be done.

The food was good, service fantastic, we had a bad electrical storm whilst there & the hotel flooded along with most of the rooms,no electric for 12 hours but the staff made sure we were alright and by dinner time the day after you wouldnt have guessed the storm had happened they worked round the clock to clean the hotel, rooms and grounds and it never affected our holiday.

I will admit that that entertainment at night wasnt greatt but i have yet to go somewhere were it is, and you can always go out!

We went on this holiday for a chill out without the kids & we got exactly what we paid for so much so that we have booked again CANT WAIT!!!!

Hotel was just right for our family holiday with 2 preschool boys. It was clean, confortable and had fantastic pools and a wonderful beach area. We loved it and had a very enjoyable week. The neptune restaurant on the beach had good food and a lovely place to escape from the scorching temperatures. Its safe to go out of the hotel and we were surprised with the chain restaurants and coffee shops right outside the gate!

Only gripe was the entertainment could have been better and we felt there would be a need for a first choice run kids club as there were around 50 plus children there who didn't attend the hotel run club due to the small amount of staff and activities running.

Also the food in the main buffet restaurant was basic and quite repetitive but I was the only one out of the 4 of us who had a moan about the food. Kids and hubby were happy to eat freshly made pizza's and pastas. The italian a la carte restaurant was good but drinks were pricey!

Overall we had a wonderful time and have recommended the hotel and resort to friends and family. We are definately coming back later in the year but may try the sister hotel Holiday Village as there will be more on for the children.

this was our 6th visit to this hotel and each visit gets better every time.They really make your stay a welcome one.The management and staff are polite and courteous and very friendly.The animation team do their best to ensure that you enjoy yourselves and are great with kiddies.we will certainly be going back again if we can .

this hotel was excellent, the staff were very friendly and made you feel you were part of the family. Animation team were hilarious and amusing. the food was good and varied. Just a couple of things that we think could improve it... There needs to be some clocks in some areas ie: the dining area, reception and the pool bar as when we were waiting to go on a trip we needed to keep an eye on the time. There was no Malibu and the spa team were quite pushy with their massages, this became quite annoying, perhaps they could just mention to their guests about whether they would like a massage rather than pushing to sell a massage, they were not cheap either. But overall we loved the complex and will be returning to it in the future.

Today I have received by post a welcome back from your holiday!!! we didn't get there!!! it has been upsetting enough that due to no flights we couldn't go because of volcanic ash,I had been waiting for this holiday for since 2008!!!we booked to go to Turkey in Oct2008 for June 2009, but due to lack of work for my partner, then he had a rta, we had to move the holiday in april 2009 for April 2010 to Egypt, this holiday was much needed due to having a very stressful year,we have now re-arranged the holiday with first choice, but we can only go in August as we both work full time and this is the only next holiday date we can have due to our work and holiday we can take, but we have to now pay £500 extra due to this being your high season we have only 4 weeks to pay this to which this is very hard for us, we are getting married next year and that £500 would have paid for part of our wedding. The manager at First Choice in Kettering branch has been great,we can not fault him and his staff,they have been very sympathetic. I was just getting use to excepting that my holiday didn't happen, but to recieve this letter today "WELCOME BACK" how was your holiday in Egypt!! tell us all about it, how insensitive was this!!!!!! I think you need to look at your customers who have experienced this and have some compassion towards them, it reduced me to tears yet again.

fantastic hotel located on the beach. Staff really friendly and welcoming. Good choice of dishes at both the lunch and evening buffet, beach diner could benefit from a varied menu. Despite being a large hotel you could still find your own space and plenty of sunbeds both by the pools and on the beach. The rooms could benefit from a refurb as tired and the bathrooms could be cleaner but apart from that a really nice hotel. We returned home yesterday after an unexpected extended holiday because of the volcano eruption in Iceland. First Choice were excellent and allowed us to stay on at the hotel and looked after us really well we will definately travel with First Choice or Thomson again as we have travelled with Thomson many times over the years and most probably will return to Coral Sea Resort. Thank you First Choice and the rep in hotel for making our holiday very enjoyable and stress free.

This hotel is perfect for families of all ages. All staff are very friendly and helpful with any problems. The food is of good standard. The entertainment is only average, but the enthusiasm from the entainment staff more than makes up for that. I will be booking this hotel again very soon.
