"Relaxing"
Overall Hotel Rating:
Very comfortable, spacious. Plenty of sunloungers and shade. Right next to the wonderfully unspoilt beach. The hotel has it's own lovely jetty where you can do some snorkelling. The staff at the hotel were 100% friendly and helpful. In fact everything was faultless, except our room looked 'tired' and could have done with modernistion and a fresh coat of paint! We went with two teenagers and it worked really well as they were happy to flop by the pool while I was snorkelling at the beach, just five minutes walk away. We did not go to the entertainments (our choice), but we could not get away from the entertainers. They were there when we went for the evening meals clowning around etc. I actually found them very tiresome as we wanted a holiday when we could relax and enjoy ourselves as a family. On the last day I had four entertainers one by one pleading us to give them good reviews even when I'd told them we didn't go to the entertainments - maddening! We absolutely enjoyed the whole holiday and would love to go to this hotel again if we were able to afford it. Oh another thing, we felt VERY safe in the hotel in fact safer than some of the other mediterranean countries we've been to. Highly recommended.

"Disappointing Hotel, Great Diving "
Overall Hotel Rating:
Just returned (10/2/10) from a week in Sharm, staying at the Coral Sea Resort. My fiancee and I decided to go for an All-Inclusive hotel for the first time and regret it. If you want a bit of winter sun and the opportunity to lie on a sunbed all day drinking fizzy lager and dodgy tasting cocktails, surrounded by pikey people who have nothing remotely interesting to say, then the Coral Sea Resort is for you!! This was our 3rd time to the Red Sea, the diving as ever was fantastic and the quad bike adventure we did was really cool (especially riding back from the desert in the dark - you have lights on the quad so don't worry!) The resort and room was pretty tidy, there's a good selection of food in the main restaurant (although most of the deserts taste the same), catering for most tastes. Basically all the good stuff we did was outside the hotel!!

"Great for Beach Holiday"
Overall Hotel Rating:
Wonderful friendly staff. Great Food except the Italian Restaurant where it is only average. Lobby Bar always packed at nights and listed entertainment in Lobby Bar seldom happened. Main Bar is very loud and entertainment thee is particiapative. We would not go back ourselves as we hoped to get out and about and explore local areas. However when you venture outside the Hotel you are constantly hassled by the local shopkeepers and pedlars.

"Grrreat Hotel."
Overall Hotel Rating:
The hotel was fantastic albeit a little dated. The bedroom furniture looked a little tired although the cleanliness was excellent. Crisp clean bedding and towels every single day and the staff at the resort couldn't do enough in fact their logo on their T shirts was.....YES WE CAN.....The hotel grounds were very well maintained and both swimming pools were cleaned every day. The location is superb as the resort is situated practically on the beach which was ideal for myself as I had previously had a hip operation however an elevator would be beneficial especially if you were situated on the top floor. The selection and quality of the food served was very good. I think the only down side to this resort if any would be the evening entertainment, this could be improved.

"Superb holiday"
Overall Hotel Rating:
The staff at the Coral Sea Resort cannot do enough for you, they were all excellent. The rooms were very large and our sea view room had an excellent view of the pool and the sea. The food was good with something for everyone. The alcoholic drinks, especially the spirits, were not so good although the non-alcoholic cocktails were fine. We didn't go to Finleys for the entertainment as the lounge bar was fine for us. The jetty made for a wonderful walk to look at the many fish found close to shore (good for snorkeling from the end of the jetty also). Would definately go back for some winter sun.

"Very good value for money"
Overall Hotel Rating:
I have never been to an all inclusive before, I would certainly go again. It was very relaxed plenty of room in the resort . The hotel catered for every sort of person if you wanted to sunbathe quietly or if you wanted to be near the action, there was lots of space and variety. Having its own beach was a bonus as walking in the sea, seeing the fish was amazing!!!

"Coral Sea Holiday Village"
Overall Hotel Rating:
Cannot fault the hotel in most respects. One problem is that in January the quiet pool becomes noisy and crowded because it is the only heated pool. Also in the entertainment room children were allowed to run riot during the stage shows which was very distracting. The service, selection and quality of food and cleanliness were excellent.

"Coral Sea Resort"
Overall Hotel Rating:
The staff are very pleasant and would do anything for you. Hotel is very modern, but there are no lifts to service the three levels. Unsuitable for disabled persons. Evening entertainment was very poor and repetative. Very limited choice of food for children. You had to pay for all drinks in the alacarte restuarant and these were no different to the ones served free in other areas of the hotel.

"Even better than last time."
Overall Hotel Rating:
The hotel itself is above average for cleanliness, location and general attractiveness. However what really makes it outstanding is the members of staff from the general manager, Mr Ali, to the unbelievably hard working gardening and maintenance staff. Special mention here for two members of bar staff, Ahmed Atef and Mohaned (at the lower pool and beach bar ). The food is also above average for all inclusive. This was my second visit to Coral Sea and will definitely not be my last.

"Not all as expected!!"
Overall Hotel Rating:
This was supposed to be four star but in truth was more like two star.
Staff are very willing to help and assist, however appeared unable to complete anything to do with maintenance within the time of our stay. The shower was dangerous and could easily have caused severe scalding, the fitments in the bathroom were rusty and screws and nails were exposed. The hairdryer would only work occasionally and when it did the handset would become so hot it was uncomfortable. The air conditioning was broken on our arrival and remained broken all holiday, at the time of our departure the only progress made was to place a bucket under the leaking unit.
The entertainments programme was the worst I have ever been subjected to...ever! Although Staff do try to keep people involved it is low key and very unprofessional. Staff request that people give them a good review so that they don't loose their jobs, and maybe this is why the brochure leads you to beleive otherwise.
Mosquito's are a problem in Sharm, and the hotel has a man who goes around early evening without warning using a smoke gun which can turn day into night to try and control them. We were told this was CO2, but had a definate smell of chemicals and if caught in this, caused breathing problems. On the plus side flies and mosquito's on resort did not appear to be a problem in comparison to other locations.
The food service in the main resturant was generally good, and although nothing special we were generally able to find something to eat. It could certainly not be described as four star standard, but staff very friendly and helpful. There was no indian or chinese resturants due to refurbishment, and drinks are not part of the all inclusive deal in the italian resturant.
Over all the holiday was acceptable but not 'special'. This hotel has seen better days and is now in need of a general refurbishment, the staff try hard and in general are polite. Tip well and you will be rewarded with the most attentive service you could desire - including very insincere compliments. Some people love this but personally I would of liked a more genuine approach.

"Not suitable for same sex couples"
Overall Hotel Rating:
The hotel was lovely but the staff were the rudest people we have ever met, all the male staff wanted to do was chat up the youn and yes i mean young english girls. Some of the comments they made were dreadfull, also being a same sex male couple we encountered problem after problem with the staff as they just seemed to ignore all the requests that we made for dining reservations and drinks etc. We will never return to Egypt and all i can say is mothers if your'e taking your daughters please keep a eye on them at all times as the Egyptian men are clever in what they do.
