"Honeymoon couple"

Overall Hotel Rating:

Good

Open quote

We stayed for a week in October 2009 for our honeymoon, the hotel was nice, not the 4star the brochure claims to be I don't think anyway. The pool; the pool is large with a very large lounging area but we did not use the pool as it was mobbed everyday and very over crowded(surprising considering it was late October!) evryone had their towels down on the sunloungers by 8am sharp so it was difficult to actually find two together as the sunloungers are so close to each other (nearly sunbathing on top of the person beside you)

The beach; gorgeous. We could never get seated down by the actual water but we were happy with the rocky cliff bit just by the beach restaurant as it was quiet and you didnt have sunbathers passing you all day to get to the sea!! The jetty bit you use to get into the water is lovely, not being a big fan of fish I was a bit freaked out with them all swimming round my legs, especially when they started nipping at our ankles!! I would def invest in some swim socks/sea shoes/flippers as it is a bit slimy under the old feet and quite rocky and sore in some spots!!

Food; The food in the restaurant is very repetitve and quite dull, your usual buffet style restaurant food, breads, salad area, meats, 3different styles of potato. Luckily we are not too fussy so always found something, We used the italian "my plcae" restaurant twice while there, it was lovely, waiter a bit creepy though! We used the mexican in the neighbouring dreams hotel, it was ok. and the chinese in the next hotel was lovely and quite posh!!

Trips, we went to Cairo for the pyramids/sphinx/museum, worth the money, a LOT of travelling by bus and plane though!!

Night/Entertainment; SOOOOOOOOOO poor. We were there a week and the same woman sang almost every night...the same songs in the same order in the same shreeeeeeeeking way. We sat at the sheesha pipe boudwin tent area most nights as it was a lovely atmosphere.

All inclusive drinks; Poor. The smallest glasses of alcohol i have ever seen, you get like a third of a pint if you are lucky. you have to pay extra for wine at certain times of the day etc. and you have to queue quite a lot for drinks!!

All in all the holiday was good but i dont think we will be back to Sharm. Been there done that etc etc.

"a great place to holiday"

Overall Hotel Rating:

Open quote

A first time visit to Egypt with my family and it was a great success. The hotel was spotless with staff constantly on hand to greet and help. Rooms are spacious and having a party of 5, had 2 interlocking rooms which was brilliant. The main resturant had a good choice of food with several other resturants on site to choose from (Asian, Mexican, Chinese, etc) either included in our all inclusive board or for a reasonable charge. Their is a great choice of pools or the beach which is layered into the cliffs. If you want to access the water you have to do it via the jetty because of the coral, but you need to get up early to get a sun bed. Activities going on throughout the day and evening entertainment.

What more can you want for your money? This is my 2nd visit. Last went 3 years ago and still good value. More hard sell this time for restaurants you have to pay extra for (but the Mexican is worth it) and so hot in July but I just stayed in the shade and sipped coctails all day long from the pool bar. This is good accomadation. Not 5 star but clean, friendly and has everything you might want. Great diving, snorkelling and excursions. Evening entertainment might be a bit weak but get drunk and go with the flow ! If anyone moans about this place it just shows that you can't please everyone

Another great 2 weeks. We have never returned to the same place twice, but this hotel keeps taking us back there. Staff are brill, Main bar has top class staff. Captain Wael was totaly fantastic, very helpfull and polite, always has a smile for everyone.I have never known someone to take so much pride in their job.The other staff members are great at their job 2. 1 stood out Captain Mohammod he didnt seem as friendly as the rest, never a smile. I was asking a member of staff for a little help one evening and he shouted across at barman to stop talking and get on with his work, The member of staff was only trying to help me I felt embarrassed by this.Food in main Resturant is ok, something for everyone. There is plenty of resturants on site, they cost next to nothing to eat in.. Hotel is very well mantained, always cleaning going on 24/7 Pool areas are well kept, litter free and tidy. Plenty to do, it can be as relaxing as you want it or as adventurous and wild as you want...Loved my time and will be returning again.

"It was okay!"

This Hotel was just okay! If you like a holiday that is all about the day and nothing about the evening then this is the hotel for you. All entertainment is finished by 10pm. The location for the snorkelling was Excellent and really couldn't complain about that. The staff were good and the food was fine, it was my first all inclusive holiday so don't have anything to compare it to but had no complaints about the food. Only problem is they wash there cups in there own water and the turn around is so quick that it's still wet when you get your drink which causes stomach upset.

Not long returned home from dreams beach on 21 july 2009 and spent 8 out of 14 days listening to pneumatic drills and generators blasting dirt everywhere including pool and food areas. They said it was essential gas pipes being laid and included most of the hotel grounds, closing pools and beach areas acesses. The rep there called tom didnt care about any of the problems only offered to move us to another hotel second last day. Weather was scorching everthing youd expect from egypt and food was ok lived on pizza and ice cream for 2 weeks. Hotel was good but not 5 star may be 3 star at most. Staff were very friendly but do expect tips. Ramp to beach very steep would not recommend to anyone under 10 or over 50.

Hotel was average, not really a 4*. Rooms were clean and spacious, staff were very friendly and helpful. Food was average, no much choice and no organisation in the restaurant so when you queue and they run out of a particular dish it could be 20 mins before they top that dish up. HOWEVER, the restaurants on site that you can pay extra to visit are well worth it, Asia House (chinese and indian) was by far the best!! Be ware on the site of the men in pink T Shirts!!! yes the 'beauty' sales guys selling massages, manicures etc etc and become really irritating day in day out! The young guys promoting the 'pay for' restaurants on site are funny - they all say 'have a nice day' 'have a nice holiday' every 5 minutes. To sum it up we enjoyed our 2 weeks there, weather fantastic, holiday good, average hotel.

ummmm, we had a good holiday due to meeting some really nice people and staff at this resort, it was much nicer at the dreams vacation side especially the food, problems with the usaual sunbed towels, we found this to be unfair on everyone as you were not always able to get decent positions around the pools areas, did nt like being hasseled very 5 mins, they only get paid commision so you can understand why, took the plunge and had 2 hours of body scrub and massage, it was lush, but we all burnt and peeled so save your money. very hot in june even on a night , path ways were uneven so be careful. we were advised to take dollars and english money but you dont get a very good rate in the shops and it can get quite confusing plus the charge service charge in resturants, airport was total rip off be warned take something to eat with you, £8 for a sarnie,

we were pleasantly surprised when we arrived at this hotel, it was in an excellent location and within a short distance of the town. The hotel was very clean and rooms spacious and well furnished. They were kept clean and had a well stocked mini bar. All staff were friendly and helpful and made our holiday very enjoyable. Food was great and there was always plenty to choose from and available at all hours of the day. Highlight was the drop from the beach into the sea via a platform which allowed easy access to the coral reef making for some amazing snorkelling and swimming. Will definitely recommend and we will return
