This hotel is lovely, check in was welcoming and quick, room very clean, and housekeeping came in daily to make beds, change towels etc. Breakfast was plentiful and varied,But try to get to breakfast before 8am, it gets busy after this time and you have to wait for a table. I would recomend this hotel to all.

We stayed at the Holiday Inn 5 nights bed and breafast and found it fab,a little tip best to go for breakfast about 8am as not so busy. The coffee latte was the best and yes it is a coninental breakfast on offer but you are in france. They did have corn flakes, cocco pops ,toast if you wanted ,jams, freshly cooked rolls, sreaky bacon ,but beware the sausages are continental still you could make a bacon roll, croissants, ham, sliced cheeses, and Omelettes. All in all we found it good no complaints from us.
The room was very clean and the bathroom was spotless,ok the tv had limited channels but we didn't come to watch telly. The beds were comfortable again no complaints from us.

Evening the resturant had a menu on offer 24.50 for adults 9.50 for children (euros) but this did include soup, main course and dessert plus drinks like coke, orange juice, lemonade, water,or red, white or rose wine which when you work it out was not bad plus you got refills well we did ha ha! the wine was lovley.

Disneyland paris is lovely our 3rd time of going there, been to America not as nice mainly focused on the rides no atmosphere like the paris one.Enjoy your stay at Disneyland Paris and Holiday Inn hotel we did and will go back soon.

This was our grandchildren's Christmas present from my wife and I, so a special treat. We booked through a local paper advert with Newmarket Promotions.
We realised the trip would be tiring, travelling all day to get to Euro Disney, a whole day, until past midnight at Euro Disney, and a day travelling home.

We were picked up at 6am in a lovely coach belonging to Johnson travel, with a cheerful driver, and off we went to Doncaster, to pick up some remaining passengers then catch the Eurotunnel shuttle.
This was a surprise as on our invoice it stated the ferry, but it made no difference to us as long as we got Euro Disney. We had the usual stop offs at motorway cafés, both in England and France, along the way and arrived at our hotel, Holiday Inn, Roissy, Charles De Gaulle, at about 8pm French time. The check in was reasonably quick and the appearance of the hotel was very pleasant. We had booked a family room which turned out to be a twin bedded room of reasonable size and comfort. There was a TV, but unfortunately no English channels, and none for the grandchildren to watch. We unloaded our belongings and went down to study the menu's but I'm afraid we found the price to be a little on the expensive side with 4 mouths to feed, a feature that we were to find throughout our stay. So it was back to our room and eat the rest of our pre packed food we had brought along. There was nothing nearby to see or visit, just a collection of hotels, so entertainment was not available.

By this time we were all weary so decided to have an early night, in readiness for a hectic day ahead. The beds were very comfortable and after some giggling by our grandchildren we were soon all asleep.
Some aircraft were heard overnight, but nothing to disturb our sleep and we woke up looking forward to the day ahead in Euro Disney. Breakfast was lovely, if a little chaotic, with too many people chasing too few tables, at times some people did appear to be irate, but the staff were doing their best to cope, and at times were a little overwhelmed by sheer numbers. We implored our grandchildren to eat as much as they could for the day ahead, but being children were rather picky on what they wanted, which was tried and trusted cereals, they had not stayed in France before so were a little bemused to see cheese and meat for breakfast. My wife and I enjoyed the breakfast, the tea was most welcome, and the surroundings, although a little chaotic, was very nice.

So off we went, to our much anticipated trip to the Disney land of entertainment. The weather was not the kindest it could have been, December after all, but it was fairly mild but very windy. We arrived and were met by a Newmarket rep who gave us our pre booked 'hopper pass', then it was a few tips, and off we went.
We got inside, no problem with our passes and looked forward to a day which the kids would remember. We saw 'Woody' from Toy Story, and other characters, but at this point things started to go astray.
We had bought hot dogs from a stall, and to say the person serving was, indifferent, would be being very kind indeed.

Not long after our granddaughter felt ill, she was pale and lacklustre. So we wanted to find a place where we could just see what was the matter. We had got a map, about as useless as it could be as there were no physical signs from where we were, to actually guide you to any medical centre, or simply a quiet area. When you have a sick 5 year old it's not easy to get your way around. So we went in the Cinemagique, after queuing for 20 minutes, where at least it was dry and warm, and our granddaughter fell asleep. The show was quite entertaining, our grandson was often giggling, later on we went to see Animagique, again, the show was entertaining, and it was inside, dry and warm.

After this, despite our best efforts, we couldn't find a rest area, away from the general mayhem. The lack of any signposting was beginning to grate as this was a failing we found throughout our stay. Finally we found a place, a bench in a cafe, where my wife and granddaughter could at least rest for a while, even though it was not perfect. In the meantime I went off with our grandson to rescue something from this trip. It was hopeless trying to get on anything, the queues were horrendous, and yes, we had been warned that the New Year was one of their busiest periods, but where were the staff, there was no one about to ask, about, for instance, parades, shows, characters, in fact no one at all. We bought autograph books and pens, again I've seen cheerier people in a cemetery than who served us, to try and make something of the day for the children. Our granddaughter managed a sleep and seemed a little better for it, but we wondered from place to place rather aimlessly as we could not get on anything without a lengthy queue, and I was not going to put the children through that.

As darkness fell we actually saw a parade, the leaflets we had were, again, less than useless at pointing this out, and with hardly anyone around to ask we more or less blundered into seeing this thing. But it was good, despite the increasing rain and wind. Then it was back to get something to eat and watch a stage show based on the Lion King. This, again, was good, more than can be said about the food we bought, and the place we sat down in. Even though this place, Videopolis, was like a giant McDonalds, with a stage, and with it all the accompanying rubbish, no one appeared to be clearing up, and as each new family turned up to sit down and eat, the older rubbish was being pushed onto the floor. No tables were wiped, no one seemed bothered at all.
By this time the weather outside was appalling, torrential rain, and strong winds, which made any walking very uncomfortable, and after 2 long days it was starting to get very tiring. We did manage to get inside the Buzz Lightyear show, as this queue seemed to be moving quite quick, so we joined it. But that was it as it was back to Videopolis to find somewhere dry at least, until midnight, when there was a firework display at the Sleeping Beauty castle.

As could be expected, the area around the Sleeping Beauty Castle was packed, what I was not expecting for a family resort, was lots of people who were obviously the worse for drink, and for once they were not English.
As midnight passed, and the usual cheering and greetings ensued someone decided to do the 'conga' with long queues of people joining in the joyfulness, the only trouble was they didn't care who they knocked out of the way to enjoy themselves, including our grandchildren, I was furious, this a family organisation allowing drunken revelry where young children were?

Even more horrors were to follow, trying to get out of the place. With so many people pushing and shoving, we tried to find the easiest way out, and we couldn't find any signs that said 'exit' so ended up a long way out. This was at about 12.30pm after a very trying day and with 2 youngsters in tow.
After frantically trying to find a way out, to meet up with our coach, we finally managed it at 1am, and I can say we were never so glad to leave a place. We got back to our hotel, and nearly fell into our beds. The room had been cleaned and the beds made, so full marks there. Strangely enough, during the night our grandson was ill. In the morning it was down to breakfast, and this time it was more relaxed, again the breakfast was good, the staff pleasant, so well done Holiday Inn.

We later found out that one of the people on our coach broke her ankle and could not find anyone or any sign to get to some medical help, this didn't surprise me. The paramedics did eventually arrive and took the injured to hospital.
Talking with people in our party later, on the way home, it was stated many times that not to compare Euro Disney with the Disney in America, there simply is no comparison. We have never been to the American version, but these people had, some several times, and it is clear that the organisation, or lack of it, in France, was not my imagination, these people knew from experience.
If you have booked, or are thinking of doing so, I hope you have a better experience than we did, someone must like the place, and no doubt people will point out the numbers that go. But this is one person who will not be amongst the returnees.
Newmarket Promotions were very good, no problems with them at all, and the only people who supplied, at least, some decent information.

Holiday Inn also deserve a mention for the hotel we stayed at, again no problems with them at all.
If you do plan to go to Euro Disney, try not to make it at New Year, with young children in tow, at midnight it is more for an older generation than children.
