"Yelloh! Village Le Serignan Plage Campsite review"
Overall Hotel Rating:
Travelled down by vehicle taking by passing the East of Paris with a overnight stop in Lyon.Initially dreading the journey, but roads fantastic.Approx tolls £60.00
This was our 2nd Al Fresco holiday, our 1st being in Spain at Camping Sanguli in 2006 which was fantastic and best holiday we have taken with the kids and because of this, we decided on another and fancied the idea of driving.
Arrived at the campsite which was in the middle of nowhere with marshes and stagnant water pools in adjacent fields to the site.
Entrance was nice, however on driving in it was not a patch on the Spanish site.
Everthing crammed in and no space.
Accommodation was spotless and excellent, but spoilt by being positioned by an old toilet and shower block which was not attractive to look at.Camp site was untidy and could have done with money spent on it.
Outdoor Swimming pool was fantastic and heated and couldnt keep the kids out of it.
Beach very clean and sea warm and great for kids and couldnt fault.
Apart from the pool and the beach, hardly any play areas for kids except a very small climbing frame for under 3s.
Our biggest letdown of the holiday was the uninvited guests that arrived each night, the squadrons of Mosquitos.
These arrived at 7pm on the dot and bit everthing and everyone.
Even the reps said they had never seen a place with a mosquito problem like this one!.
To make matters worse, the Thomson caravans did not have mosquito nets on the windows, so i advise a bee keepers outfit if you intend to drink on the wooden decking at night or stroll around at night.
Journey back, we took the straight route to Paris and Calais, which was a 12hour in one go jorney and £50 in tolls, again the roads were good. All in all, the campsite was a let down, so its back to Spain next year.

Overall Hotel Rating:
From the moment we entered the excellent reception area to discovering the facilities on site + direct access to the beach, this site proved to be one of the best we have stayed in. Drove overnight to Folkestone to join eurotunnel. One overnight stop in France on way down. Two in France on way home, second at Calais to visit La cite d'europe. Lots to see and do if you don't want to sit by the pool or beach. Visit Bezier, Carcassonne, Cap d'Agde also Aqualand.
