This was our second time on the Berny Riviere site with Keycamp. We don't usually go back to the same place, but it was one of the few sites open at Easter.
The positives:
*The accommodation,(Grand 29), was clean and big enough for the four of us
*The trip to Paris organised by the campsite was worth the extra money and better organised than on our last trip
*Disneyland Paris is easily accessible by car
*The site is well-kept, with a lovely children's play area by the lake
*The kids enjoyed the pool
*The nearby town of Soissons is well worth a loook
The negatives:
*Children need constant supervision because of the speed at which many cars race around the site, despite the speed warnings
*The service in the restaurant was dreadful - the staff were incompetent and rude. We tried to eat there once - we were ignored for twenty minutes before walking out, whilst other people sat amongst uncleared plates
*The nearby village is extremely small indeed and there are a lot of industrial areas nearby - not particularly scenic in parts. We'd done so much driving out of the area during our last visit, we hadn't really noticed. this time we wanted to explore localy, but were a little disappointed
*The kids club wasn't open - it had been available during our last Easter trip on this site, and I could have sworn it had been advertised again, but this year Keycamp weren't starting it until the end of May
We visited Disneyland Paris, again for the second time, and came to the conclusion that we preferred Parc Asterix which we'd visited on our last trip.
On the whole, we enjoyed ourselves, but next time we'll go later and try a site nearer Fountainebleu so we can explore a different area.

Our room was dusty and smelled of mildew. The carpet was gritty. The bathroom decor was pink and green with large areas of wallpaper developing what appeared to be some form of leprosy and a tap that was permanently running. Hot water was available only sporadically and there was no shower curtain. No one spoke English although we had chosen the hotel because it advertised itself as 'english spoken' and the restaurant was described as 'quality' and 'gourmet'. The food was simply disgraceful. Breakfast was even worse.
In fairness, the good citizens of Bethune are very pleasant and generally helpful. We will make a point of not returning and if you need to go there, you could do MUCH better than Le Vieux Beffroi.
