Paris is certainly an exciting and invigorating city to explore. On a recommendation we booked at the Hotel du Parc which is 3 minutes walk to Montparnasse Tower. It is an excellent area to stay in with excellent transport communications to the main tourist attractions of Paris, some of which can be reached on foot. There are a number of budget priced restaurants nearby.
The Hotel du Parc is located in a quiet square and the rooms were surprisingly good with air conditioning. The shower was first rate and the hotel had obviously been recently up graded. The only slight faults we found were there was no lift to reception which had to walk up a flight of stairs to reach(lift from reception to rooms) No tea or coffee making facilities in the room. Forget breakfast it was overpriced and rubbish, book on room only basis and go to one of the local cafes for breakfast.
Overall recommended we would return.Good value and a great base for sightseeing.the staff were at the hotel were helpful and friendly. We booked direct on the hotels own web site.
