"Clarys Plage review"
Overall Hotel Rating:
This was our first time to this particular resort in France and the first time that we decided to give the Al Fresco by Thomsons a go. We couldn't have chosen any better. The mobile home was immaculate, contemporary and the use of space was inspired. The beds were full sized beds (the double was bigger than the king size bed I have at home!). The Reps were fantastic, always around and extremely helpful in every way. The resort was also ideal with a really nice pool and a nice snackbar for when you needed a change from the bbq!
I can't recommend this holiday, tour operator or resort more highly. Superb holiday!

"Clarys Plage review"
Overall Hotel Rating:
Clarys plage is a pleasant site. It is clean, well run and attractively laid out. The pool and slides were great fun, the water was warm and always very clean. The area around the pool was surfaced with that rubber type stuff found in playgrounds so was very safe for young children running around the pool area. There is also a small playground.
nearby the beach is accessed via a nice walk over some sandunes. The beach was pleasant. We visited several other beaches as well. Bretignolles is a great beach with lots of good waves and you can hire surfboards. The beach at St. Jean is lovely with talcum powder soft sand. Beaches at la Tranche also nice, at Port bourgenay the sea was great to swim in and the beach beautiful. Also went to Les Sables. This is a nice resort with a lovely beach. Nearer to the site there is also a little beach at sion sur l'ocean with some nice rockpools to crawl about in. This is also a nice place to go for a meal or a drink at night, as is St. Gilles. When driving through this area there are some lovely quiet little villages and it is very unspoilt. I wish we had taken our bicycles as there are cycle paths everywhere. E.Leclerc at St. Gilles is the best supermarket in the area with a great choice of ...everything.
With beer and wine dirt cheap, good weather and great beaches this is a really good holiday. Next time I would prefer 3 weeks though.
