Amazing to see loads of Crabs and Prawns in the rock pools and loads to explore not just sand and sea. Hotel was excellent, staff extremely friendly (mind you they always are) Room spotless, upgraded to a suite for £25 for the week. Restaurant had an excellent menu and so cheap. If you go there look out for Anil, the taxi Driver, he is the safest driver in Goa! We used him all week and the most he charged us for a full day was £9. Take him some Cadbury's chocolate from UK - he loves it!

Good to see prices have changed little but bartering is still the order of the day. I noticed prices were higher at the outset but with haggling the prices were same as last year. Be careful of the 'Ear Cleaners' at the markets, knock their hands away before they get near your ears. One was just about to put a little seed into my ear as I caught his hand.

If you are looking for suits and shirts go to Supertailor in Candolim, excellent service and well made goods. We had a problem with AliBaba in Calangute, he messed up two suits tried to alter them and still not right, had another go and delivered them at 3.30am and we were leaving at 5.30 am. Needless to say they will be taken back to his shop for a refund in November! If you are going for the first time in the next few weeks high factor suncream is a must.

Booked into the Lagoa Azul after a nightmare experience of the Renton Manor (see review). The diference between the two hotels is unbelievable.

Booked into the Lagoa Azul after a nightmare experience of the Renton Manor (see review). The diference between the two hotels is unbelievable.
The Lagoa Azul was spotlessly clean, with the bedding clean crisp and white! the towels were changed every day and they also supplied towels for use around the pools.

The staff was the most friendly and helpful that I have ever met and always seemed pleased to see you.
The Mini Bar is cheaper than the pool Bar (only 10%) but the drinks prices are cheap anyway, about 20p for a soft drink and 50p for a large bottle of Kingfisher.
The breakfast included Tea/Coffee, Toast, fresh bread, fruit Juice, cereal and eggs cooked to your request ie boiled, poached, fried, scrambled or they will even make you an omlette.
The hotel is set out of the way, but it is only a few minutes walk into the village of Arpora where there are several good restaurants (All Spice is particularly good).
If you want to go into Baga, Callangute or Candolim it is best to go by Taxi or Tut Tut (three wheeled Rickshaw)and it will only cost about a pound Max.

The Beach at Baga is quite busy but still very nice, be prepared for a bit of hassle from the beach sellers.
If you like your beaches desserted head north to Ashwim beach it is like paradise!
I realy enjoyed my Holday and will be going back to the Lagoa Azul in November.
