Sidari review

"Poor standards."

80%
of reviewers would recommend this
resort to a friend

Open quote

Sidari has dropped in standard over the years and the competition between bars and other businesses is bringing the standard way down. You can hardly hear yourself think when you walk up town at night. Every bar tries to outdo the bar next door with their music pounding. It is NOT good. There are some very good acts on in the bars but they are drowned out by music coming from next door, across the road etc. The beach is very poor with effluent seeping into the sea from nearby hotels who regularly 'flush' their systems out into the sea - disgusting. Excursions are the same year in year out, nothing new. The apparent war between the travel shops is terrible with everyone trying to 'do down' the shop across the road or nearby. Vlaseros Travel at canal d'amour is very good and they have beautiful coaches. The Scottish lady there, Rachel is very friendly and knows Corfu inside out. He honesty and helpfulness is a credit to the owner, Philip. One word of warning, don't go to his shop across from the 2 brothers hotel. He is a shark. He doesn't care about anyone - only your MONEY. He is to be avoided. He's the gay Greek with the bad wig. Nice places to eat are the Family, Konaki's and Cactus Jacks. Nice places to go are Paleo & Bella Vista with Tasos from Vlaseros Travel, only 8 euros. Lazy Day Cruise and Parga Paxos.

Ideally suited to people wanting a party holiday, some restaurants are nice and offer Greek food. Beaches are dirty but the boat trip to the Blue Lagoon was lovely

We visited Roda last year and fell in love with this small fishing village so we had another holiday agai this year. There are many restraunts and bars, you could eat out at a diferent place every night for 3 weeks. The locals are really friendly and love children and there is a lovely streach of beach next to the main part of the village. Ther rest of the beach is quite pebbly but the views of Albania are lovely on a clear day. All in all it's a blovely place for a relaxing holiday and very flat so good for people with mobility problems.

Roda review

"Roda"

I went with a large group of my friends and although we are young we took full advantage of the fact that this is not a party town. Although there are no clubs in Roda, the neighbouring resort has a wealth of night life which we actually found we didn't need to visit. We spent time within our hotel and within a few choice bars in the area, (pirates cocktail bar was a favourite in particular). There is a lot of karaoke and live entertainment as well as Greek nights within the area. The food varied from place to place but i found all prices to be pretty much the same...not cheap but not overly expensive...and the menus were often full with a variety of greek food and international dishes.

Sidari review

"Places to eat"

Sidari is a lovely place, quiet and peaceful during the day, but it comes alive at night. We stayed at the Trivizas which was 5-10 mins away from the "Strip", by the 3 Little Pigs restaurant. We would recommend "SeaMonkeys" Bar on the beach, excellent food and drink. The breakfasts can be daunting due to their size, but I still managed to get through them !

Of an evening, we would recommend Sea Breeze and Panchos (Mexican) on the "Strip", Sea Breeze" had an excellent Greek night, including dancing and fire-shows.

The weather we had was excellent, the temperature was in the high 20's with only 1 day out of the 7 being cloudy.

very expensive for drinks - paid 10 euros for a pint of mythos and vodka and coke. Not a great choice of bars and over half of the resort is run down and derelict. Got the impression bar owners/bus drivers couldn't be bothered with the tourists or English but maybe that was because it was towards the end of the season. Go to Cheers bar the owner there was lovely and very accommodating.

Kavos review

of reviewers would recommend this

Its all the same, Bright lights, cheap watery beer and bothered by every bar door way. If you are 16 to 22 you will probably love it. But, in all honesty go to somewhere else instead and do it properly. If you are in Kavos go to Marias Karaoke Bar, they are the lovely people.

we just returned from the oula and we had the best time ever.oula is definitelly one of the best resort i ever seen in the island, staff were always friendly and polite, tottaly disaggre with one bellow, yes there was a power cut but is not the hotels fault,it was cause to a thunderstorm and it was definitelly not their fault.the staff walked us back in to the room with a torch just to make sure we wouldnt have an accident.the service was self catering and that means that u get change linen in the middle week since u arrived the towels were hand towels and u have to provided to your self after the first time u arrived.no one got charged for anything apart if u break something and fair enough.what really happened was they were three couples were the whole week we were there complained about everything that was their main cause.people just go on holidays just two complain for all, annoying.yannis the manager he has been abused by the three couples who were complaining, they were giving him really hard time there, and he was called all kind of names by them,he was always very polite and helpfull, one of the kindest persons i ever met in my life actually, very proffesioanal as well .we had the best time ever there and we definitelly go back next year
